Respected Astrologers,

I am a learner and I want to study the divisional charts.

I don't know how to analyse a D Chart. Suppose if we look at Navamsa,

should I start with Navamsa Lagna or I place the original Lagna as

Lagna and see the positions of planets in Navamsa from that.

please let me know or suggest some useful web links.

Thanks in advance

Kannan,

Both the ways you hinted are used in analysing

divisional charts. The rising sign in varga is

important and varga chart is thoroughly read w.r.t

varga lagna. Also in Navamsha(or any other varga)

chart if a graha is in its own/exaltation/friend sign,

then this stregthen the graha itself with repect to

matters stand for that varga.

The second way is called Rasi-Tulya technique, and

specific to Navamsha. That is replace the navamsha

lagna with rashi lagna and read Navamsha. This gives

effect of good or bad happenings.

For a detailed treatment of Divisional Charts, SJCs

Hyderabad conference 2002, proceedings "VARGA CHKRA"

proves helpful to you. The help file in JHL software

also deals divsional charts beautifully.
