Guest guest
||Jai Ramakrishna|| Dear Learned Members of the group, For a few days i find that many people are busy with the "Badhak" and "Badhakesh"Concept.I would like to share my views and the resources i have regarding this topic. As everybody knows that, for the Movable Rasi, the Badhak Rasi is 11th house from it,for Fixed Rasi the Badhak Rasi is 9th house from it finally for common Rasi or dual rasi, the Badhak Rasi is 7th House from it. Now let's analyse this view.As we came to Know that for Movable Rasi,11th house is a Badhak house. So it will give troubles. But it is accepted by all that any planet in 11th will give good results. However 11th lord is one of the "Tri-Sharaya Pati".So the 11th house and 11th Lord can give good results owing to position & relation. For Fixed Sign Badhak Rashi is 9th from it.We all know that being the Lord of the trines, the results will be good always, and it is a yogakaraka too. Moreover in Parasara Hora Sastra,Maharshi Parasar had praised about the 9th Lord and if the excepting the lord of Dusthanas,All planets give good results in this house. In Parasara Hora Sastra,in the Chapter of Vimshottari Dasa, all the Dasas and antardasas of Trines has been said to be good. Finally, for the dual rasi, the Seventh House is the Badhak rasi. Its true that the seventh house is a bit evil as it is one of the maraka, but seventh house is one of kendras and any planet in kendras give good results and in Parasara Hora Sastra, the dasas & antardasas of planets posted in kendras has been said to be good. To prove my views, let me take a simple example of the Chart of Ravindranath Tagore.Tagore was Born in Meen lagnam, and the lagnam being a dual rasi, his Badhak Rasi was 7th from Lagna, thus Kanya was his Badhak Rasi and Lord of Badhak being Budha (Mercury). The Badhakesh being posted in the 2nd House, with Sun & Venus. He was born in the Mercury Mahadasa too ,the Bhogyakaal being 12 years,3 months & 8days.One interesting to say that he wrote literature during the Mercury Mahadasa.Throughout His life Mercury Antar Dasa was favorable for him.let's Take the last two Antar dasas of Tagore. In the Moon MD-Mercury AD he wrote the "Gitanjali" in english, which awarded him with the noble prize. In the Mars MD -Mercury AD,to collect money for Biswabharati and Shanti-Niketana,he left the country and went abroad, wrote many books and felicitated by many countries and statesmen where he went. So we can see that the Mercury dasas weren't bad for him.So there are many fears regarding Badhak and Badhakesh which panics peope,as it has nothing to do with "Phalita Jyotish". Guest guest
Dear Just a few word in connection to what you wrote: It is not difficult to read Parasara "as is" but as soon as we start interpreting it becomes individual. I have advocated for a long time that many Jyotish concepts such as the Badhaka must stand the test of statistics in order to prove valid. Single cases are by no way a mirror of validity. Example: <"Lord of trines always give good results">. I think many will testify that often it is not the case as there are many other factors involved in judging any lord/planet's results, such as association, placement, aspects etc. The Badhaka signs and lords are (probably) subjected to the same, just as most other concepts do. Example: the 9th lord is the lord of dharma and luck who becomes also the lord of obstruction for fixed signs lagna (?). In my opinion it can go both ways depending the above mentioned factors. Last but not least is the part involving our free will which is still an open matter of arguments, study and examination. Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Dear Gaurav and Jyotishas, Let me give some of my opinions on Badhak. Baadhak the word literally means to Obstruct(MW: oppressing , harassing , paining, opposing , hindering, injuring , prejudicing). >From Roots verb baadh:to press , force , drive away , repel , remove. So what is the Obstructor(Baadhakesh) obstructing from?. I think Prashna Marga also gives a different set of obstructors. So depending on your goal the obstructor may be different. From understanding the word Baadhak we can deduce that the natural Kaaraka(Producer/Creator) of Baadhak is Saturn for Pain, obstruction etc and for Oppressing,Repel etc it's Rahu. If you note for the Kaalapurusha 11th Baahva becomes the baadhak staana so Saturn Or Rahu becomes Baadhakesh. 11th house is the house of gains and fruits of all activities to which we are constantly tied to which causes a return to earth. This is a retrograde phenomenon and shown by Rahu. Between Saturn and Rahu, Rahu is worse. The Baadhak house for each lagna indicates where the native's maximum desire is concentrated. When this gets tied up with Dushtana lords it give hurdle to fulfilment of all desires. The giver of freedom from Obstruction is 12th Bhaava, association of 11th with 12th gives relief. Ketu is natural opposer of Rahu so Ganesha is Vigneshwara the Lord who wins over all obstacles. Guest guest
I read somewhere that the badhakesh obstruction materializes only if it is the lord of the sign where Gulika is placed or of the 22nd Drekkana. Otherwise this whole theory of badhakesh is not really correct. Presently I am running the bhukti of the 9th lord which is the badhakesh of my ascendant (Aq). Things are hunky-dory and extremely good but once in a while I encounter some obstructions and I don't know whether it is because of the badhakesh bhukti or because of planet transits. Guest guest
Dear Sir, I have Gulika in my Bhadaka Sign , Aquaries for my lagna Aries. saturn is exalted in libra making sasha yoga giving only unpleasant things of sasha yoga ie. lazyness, pains, worries etc, still the antar-dasha of saturn(mer-saturn Aug 2002-Apr 2005) has been perfectly bad, same way i m running my Aquaries Narayan MahaDasha(from 2003-2012), will it be bad throught-out till 2012? My mercury dasha is going to end in april-2005, and Ketu dasha is going to start, will it be bad inspite of the fact that ketu is exalted in 9th house?? Is saturn is Obstuctor for me (the only exalted planet except nodes),so leaving no good in the horescope ?? please tell me ..will bhadkesh be giving never good results?? mars ,which is the lagna lord is also in bhadhka sign . The another query is about Gulika , Will it poision the house , in which Gu is placed, will it also spoil 11th house ,where evertything is supposed to be good ?? 20.01.83 12.20 PM -IST 76.49 N, 26.29 E thanks -amit ***************** vedic astrology, "mikefranc01" <mtravass@t...> wrote: > I read somewhere that the badhakesh obstruction materializes only if > it is the lord of the sign where Gulika is placed or of the 22nd > Drekkana. Now count 11th from 11th which become 9th house, that arises as badhaka sthana for second type of sings (Ta, Le, Sc, Aq). Now count from 11th from last 9th which become 7th, that is the badhaka for third type of sings i.e. dual (Ge, Vi, Sg, Pi). > > Therefore it can be inferred that badhaka's obstructing effect is subject to quadruplicity of the related signs. That is for cardinal sing lagnas all the "fix natured matters of the 11th house" may cause problem. For fixed sigs lagnas all the "moveable natured matters of the 9th house" may harm and similarly for dual signs lagnas all the "dual natured matters of the 7th house" may lead to barriers. > > Regards > M.Imran > > > > mikefranc01 <mtravass@t...> wrote: > I read somewhere that the badhakesh obstruction materializes only if > it is the lord of the sign where Gulika is placed or of the 22nd > Drekkana.
