A very basic question regd transits--Answer

Hello Pradipto:

Here is my simplistic answer:

1) The position of the Moon in the birth chart governs the transit of

planets, i.e. if Moon in in Aries in the birth chart, then Jupiter is

currently transiting 6th from the Natal Moon today.

Now, the two FARTHEST inhabited places on Earth are San Franciso and

Bombay, India. There is a 12.5 hour difference in time zone between

the two places and the planets would have travelled just a few

degrees in 12.5 hours so it WON'T MAKE MUCH DIFFERENCE where in the

world you're analyzing transits.

Especailly, for Jupiter which stays in one sign for 13 months, Saturn

for 2.5 years, Rahu & Ketu for 1.5 years, Mars for 45 days, Mercury

for 30 days, Sun for 30 days, Venus for 25 days.

Moon is the only planet that may be affected by the 12.5 hour

difference, i.e. Moon calculated from India MAY be in a different

sign as calculated from San Fransico on the same date and same time.

2) Ideally, one would consider the transits from the place they are

physically present.

Hope this answers your question.

Hello Dhananjayan:

Are you going to be in space any time soon? If you convince me that

you're going to be on Mars or Saturn or Jupiter or on any celestial

entity that has an orbit, then I'll figure out how to verify Gochar

from space.

As a resident of Earth and as a Human who isn't going to be

travelling outside the Stratosphere any time soon, I don't have time

or the need to understand the Gochar calculation in space.
