Humble Question to Sanjay Rathji and Narsimha ji

Dear Tarkatirth Ji,

 

Well this question was asked to Shri Sanjay Ji and

Shri Narshima Ji. Kindly allow me to share my

thoughts.

 

Your mail reminded me some of the physics that I have

studied in my school / college life. Yes parallax can

be there. But see the JHL (Jagannatha Hora Lite)

developed by Shri PVR Ji, there is an option for

setting altitude also. So, I believe, PVR Ji has taken

care these things in the software of what you have

asked.

 

I cannot comment on how great sages would have dealt

with. But altitude level is there in JHL.

 

I too would be waiting for replies from Shri Sanjay Ji

/ Shri PVR Ji.

Good day!

Does Hora Lagna and other lagnas which depend on the moment of

sunrise, also depend on the altitude of the place? In mountains this

moment will be the other then in the lower place.

Dear Lyudmila Ji,

 

Kindly note that you mentioned *mountain* and *lower

place*, longitude, latitude will change, so

accordingly sunrise and sunset time will change. I

guess (don't know perfectly) there is nothing related

to Altitude in finding HL etc.

Dear Neeraj Gupta!

 

Altitude means height above sea level or above the horizon.

 

And the coordinates (lat, long) of the place will not change in this

case.

 

The time of sunrise in many astronomical programs are given according

to sea level acc. to mathematical model of earth's surface - geoid.

 

Imagine that you are in the aiplane - will the height of this flight

(up to 3 km) this effect on calculation of Hora lagna of horoscope of

the born child on the plane? So will be in the mountains - take for

eg Himalayas. You will see the moment of sunrise in mountains earlier

than in lower places - for eg in the level of Dead Sea in Israel is

much below the sea level.
