Guest guest
Namaste Dhira Krsna, The similarities between your father's shashtyamsa (D-60) and his grandmother's rasi chart are striking. I will make a couple of quick points based on the little I was taught by my guru on this topic. Of course, it is tough to find genuine data to test the theories taught by elders on this topic and hence the knowledge in this area is suspect. If anyone has any other data of possible rebirths (charts of both births needed), kindly share it with all of us! With that note of caution, let me apply the little I know. You gave your father's birthtime as 22:50. With that, I cannot imagine your father being the reincarnation of his grandmother. However, your father's horoscope as it already exists in the database in my computer shows a birthtime of 22:13:50. I am not sure if you were using this time earlier or if it was my (or someone else's) rectification. But, I found it interesting that your assumption of rebirth makes perfect sense with that birthtime. This time gives Gemini lagna instead of Leo in your father's D-60. Lagna in D-60 still shows the karma carried over from past life/lives into this life. It does not specifically show the events of past life. However, arudhas of lagna and lagna lord in D-60 specifically show the past one life. With Gemini lagna in D-60, lagna lord's graha arudha falls in Sagittarius!! Sagittarius contains Jupiter. His grandmother's rasi chart had exalted Jupiter in lagna. Moon, Ketu and Mars are in the 5th house from Sagittarius in your father's D-60. His grandmother's rasi chart has Moon and Ketu in the 5th house in a Martian sign. Your father's D-60 has Mercury in the 10th from Sagittarius. His grandmother's rasi chart has Mercury in 10th. Your father's D-60 has Saturn in 6th in a Venusian sign. His grandmother's rasi chart has Saturn in 6th from lagna, aspected by Venus (by sign aspect). Your father's D-60 has Rahu in 11th from Sagittarius in a Venusian sign. His grandmother's rasi chart has Rahu in 11th from lagna in a Venusian sign. Venus is exalted in 4th from Sagittarius in your father's D-60 and he is the exalted 4th lord in his grandmother's rasi chart. When your father's D-60 is seen from lagna lord's arudha and his grandmother's rasi chart is seen from lagna, the similarities are just amazing. If Gemini is your father's shashtyamsa lagna and Cancer is his grandmother's rasi lagna, then there is a strong chance that your guess of a rebirth is correct. Of course, this is based on the little I know about shashtyamsa and it is imperfect knowledge in all likelihood. BTW, I am cc'ing this mail to "vedic astrology" as people there will find your data very useful too! Guest guest
Dear Narasimha, Namaste! Thank you for looking into my charts. Yes, I did use different times for my father, since I can only rely on the memory of my late grandfather, who said it was between 10 and 11 pm, and that it was quite late. Also, the time for my father's grandmother is unknown, so her lagna may not be correct. Perhaps I may ask you to determine it by a prashna? Regarding my father's chart, it is possible I have given that time before, or that you rectified it. Then, how do I fit in into his Saptamsa? I thought Aries Saptamsa lagna for my father is correct, because 5th lord Sun is in Pisces, which is my Atmakaraka and Moon sign. Of course, I also have thought Capricorn d-7 lagna might be correct. Saptamsa lagna lord in 8th house would indicate his aversion to having a child, which is also true. Yours, Dhira Krsna dasa, Jyotishi http://www.radhadesh.com http://www.geocities.com/dvdd1008/Jyotisha.html
