Dear Devika,

 

Let's keep it simple – where is the manas (mind) focused?

 

Is it on partnerships / alliances / relationships, and perhaps getting

an indication of the self from the spouse (if married), or…

[select 7th House affairs]

 

…is it on matters of life force, the occult, etc. ?

[select 8th House affairs]

 

How is your health, when it comes to the fluids in the body? i.e.

prolonged or frequent colds, sniffles, sinus es, etc? Again, entire

chart should be considered.

[Moon is considered in a Marana Karaka Sthaana in the 8th.]

 

One quick thing – naturally speaking, the Moon is not opposed to

Mercury. Its akin to the Mother – child relationship. Its Mercury, the

child, who sometimes does not like confinement / order, etc.

Dear Nitin,

Thank you for responding to my email so quickly. In JHora Lite

Lahiri ayanamsha is selected and it is showing Moon in 8th while

astrologer's hand calculations done years ago shows Moon in the 7th.

Now if I consider the Moon to be with Mercury in the 8th house

Scorpio(unlike the hand made calculation) then:

1) Moon has enmity with Mercury. According to what I have learned,

Mercury along with Moon and Mars having dristi on both (Mars in 2nd

house) causes skin disease. I do not have any skin disease so far.

2) Moon opposing Mars causes chandra-mandal yog. Which makes one ultra

rich. I am not ultra rich so far.

3) Also, it was discussed in this group a while back, that Moon and

Mercury together denotes questionable character of a mother.

 

Am I right in any of the above? Also if things has not happen so far

that does not mean that it won't happen. So how do you make sure that

Moon is suppose to be in 7th or 8th?

Dear Devika,

 

For complete accuracy, there can be no substitute to

someone drawing a chart by hand, calculating manually.

 

Again, though, there can be a margin of error.

 

Consdier the following:

Sidereal zodiac (used in Vedic Astrology)

Lahiri (or ChitraPrakash Ayanamsa)

 

The above 2 should be used, in my opinion. Make sure

these are the settings in JHL and on Astrology.com.

 

Lastly, figure out the actual planetary palcements --

what does Moon in the 7th Vs. Moon in the 8th reveal

in your chart?
