Guest guest
||| Hare Rama Krishna ||| Ivar, allow me to share some of my understanding… I noticed in my chart was a debilitated Jupiter in the 4th house. That's not so good for your 4th house, but great for your 10th! Because Jupiter's aspect there is received in its favorite sign (Cancer). [Via NK] Are we to infer that planets in a state of classified exaltation may be unfavorable to the house opposite to them? BPHS (English Translation) Ch. 3. Grah Characters and Description 49-50. Exaltation and Debilitation. For the seven Grahas, from Sūrya on, the exaltation Rashis are, respectively, Mesh, Vrishabh, Makar, Kanya, Kark, Meen and Tula. The deepest exaltation degrees are, respectively, 10, 3, 28, 15, 5, 27 and 20 in those Rashis. And in the seventh Rashi from the said exaltation Rashi each Grah has its own debilitation. The same degrees of deep exaltation apply to deep fall. Perhaps. I'd rather not have any lord debilitated. Not even the 6th, 8th or 12th. How's your health? A strong 6th lord should help conquer bacteria and viruses. A weak one make's one pretty defenceless. I may be wrong here. What's the experience of other astrologers? [Via NK] 6th House – examine the HOUSE. 8th Lord – examine the SIGN. Exaltation and debilitation, again, has a role. Debilitated planets in the Vimsamsa (D20), for example, gives a rise in spirituality. Also, remember to examine the Navamsa (D9) for the fortunes carried (bhagya). In Dimple's case, Jupiter remains in a fixed sign. > how should i read them? Most astrologers stress that the rasi chart is much more important. [Via NK] Without the Rashi, there are no other charts. In this regard, you are correct. The Bahva Chalit has a purpose, just as the rest of the chart(s). Ages ago, these subdivisionals were probably not even needed, considering the able Astrologer could reach the other charts without technological tools such as computers / calculators. When you are looking at the Rashi, you are indirectly being presented with the other charts as well…. :> Ivar Verploegh Hope some of this helps. Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Ivar and Nitin, It's always better to have the 6th lord in a wek position.A debilitated dusthan lord is definately favourable. When a dusthan lords 'falls' in a dusthan it leads to a Vipreeta raaj Yoga.Needless to say that inspite of this one does'nt wish for planets in debility as they do not give good results, specially when benefics like Venus get debilitated. Best Wishes, Kanupriya. >"Nitin" <astronitin > >vedic astrology >[vedic astrology] #4 Analysing Jupiter in my chart >Wed, 17 Nov 2004 16:59:33 -0000 > > >||| Hare Rama Krishna ||| > >Ivar, allow me to share some of my understanding… > > > > > I noticed in my chart was a debilitated Jupiter in the 4th house. > >That's not so good for your 4th house, but great for your 10th! >Because Jupiter's aspect there is received in its favorite sign >(Cancer). >[Via NK] >Are we to infer that planets in a state of classified exaltation may >be unfavorable to the house opposite to them? > >BPHS (English Translation) >Ch. 3. Guest guest
> Are we to infer that planets in a state of classified exaltation > may be unfavorable to the house opposite to them? Yes. I think Mohammed Ali is a good example of that. His 5th house is aspected by a debilitated planet. Thus its aspect is received in that planet's favorite sign. There are many more examples. Investigate it yourself. As a reply to another message: Yes, vipareet yoga is preferred, and lords in upachayas is another consideration. I was simply speaking about debilitation, not house placement. Ivar
