#3 Exalted or Strong Jupiter

Dear Lakshmi, Mohammed and others,

Allow me to share some of my understanding as well….

Besides considering the placement of any planet in the Rashi, also

consider where it is in the subdivisional chart of fortunes (or

bhagya) – the Navamsa (D-9). When a planet is in a state of

exaltation or debilitation in the Rashi, a finer picture is acquired

by examining the D-9.

(A complete overview of the charts always helps)

Any planet not following the path of the Sun (natural accepted order),

then the pathway is that of the Nodes (Rahu/Ketu).

To understand Jupiter retrograde, understand what are the inherent

qualities described, and how it can play out in our lives. Some,

amongst others are:

A) Marriage

B) Children

C) General happiness

Rahu and Jupiter are inherently different in their nature. Where one

is blessing, the other is reminding of past karma. One is a Priest,

the other is the notorious one having felt deprived of the nectar of

the Gods (Amrit Ras), based on Puranic stories.

Hence, there will be something unconventional in a person's chart

regarding the above three areas, or something specific of Jupiter.

For example, the person may have had an unusual marriage, or under odd

circumstances.

The person may be trying various methods to conceive.

The person finds happiness in a unique manner.

Extending this, one can go to an interpretation of stating children

will be denied.

(This need not be, of course.)

I hope some of my observations and logic helps.

Lakshmi – the Sarpa toga you described is naturally broken by Jupiter

in the Lagna. Furthremore, the Sun is very important in Sarpa Yogas.

The Priest (Jupiter) welcomes peace and naturally cannot fight the

deeds of Rahu (the one not following convention). Hence it is the Sun

(established authority) that views the situation and can aid

immensely…… In the chart you described, Jupiter is welcomed in the

House of the King.

Best wishes and warm regards,

Nitin.

Om Gurave Namah

Namaste Mohammad,

I find your posts very interesting. Please continue the good work. But

I have a small query. Can you define the term "true wisdom" ? And can

you give me the source /basis of

"Exalted or Strong Jupiter bestows two out of the folowing three good

things, but deprives of the third or sukha (happiness from ) the third.

They are 1. True Wisdom, 2. Wealth (dhan), 3. Progeny (santaan)

You may get any of the above two, but one will be missing, and the

choice is made by God and not man (as usual)..."

I have a strong Jupiter and by God's grace I have all the three...at

least I have the wisdom / good sense to be truly happy with the world

and with whatever God has given to me. Or I can give the much better

known example of Madhuri Dixit.

A person may have all the good things in life, but might still be

unhappy. I personally find that a strong Jupiter gives one the ability

to transcend one's circumstances, and remain happy despite adverse

experiences. There is this person with a strong Jupiter in lagna, who

despite a terrible sarpa yoga and quite a few unsavoury incidents in

life, still finds the incredible stamina to press ahead towards his

goal with missionary zeal and I find him very humane with a remarkable

sense of humour! so do a lot of others!

Anandamaya kosha comes after vigyaanamaya kosha. Happiness is a very

elusive quality and one who knows "Ananda" knows All.

Ofcourse, what you say might be perfectly true, based on other conditions.

Regards,

Lakshmi

Namaste Nitin,

Excellent points:--))

Jupiter in lagna, especially in trines to Sun, certainly counteracts the sarpa

yoga, but can it totally negate the ill effects of three malefics in three

angles? If that were the case, the native would not have suffered repeated

betrayals on home/ relationship/ work fronts. I feel that both the dragnet of

sarpa and protection of Jupiter manifest simultaneously and equally powerfully

in the native’s chart, and like in ksheera saagara mathanam, the native is

constantly exposed to & shaped by his encounters with the haalahalam and the

amritam present in human psyche.

The discussion is more about the amrita he determinedly gives out, and less

about the poison he consumes.
