Guest guest
Namaste Sorry for this delayed reply. Thanks for such nicely crafted thoughts on Sani, kindly find my reply below as Sunil, so that I do not miss out on proper reply. Dear Sunil, Namaste,I do not know whether the following is relevant or not, but just incase; some notes;- I have seen in Delhi in the Shani Mandir, people offering MustardOil to Lord Shani, e.g. in the form of simple oil lamp. I go theremyself when I visit Delhi, the experience is powerful, long quesforming on Saturdays.- I am not 100% sure, can not remember exactly, but I guess theHanuman Temple is next to the Shani Temple there, this may be beyondsimple coincidence. Sunil: Sir, I presume the Hanunman Temple might be next to the Shani Temple since Lord Hanuman was the one who freed Shani out of Ravan's clutches when he went to save Sita. It seems Ravan had taken control of all planets for the birth of his son and wanted all planets in one house - something like this is the story, maybe you are aware of this and senior members can put in the correct story. So it is folklore Lord Shani was happy with the acts of Hanumanji and hence granted a boon that those who pray to Hanuman won't be troubled by Shani. Pls correct me if incorrect. - Oil massage, not oil bath, is a very basic thing in Ayur-Vedcalled Abhyanga, it is best done with Sesame oil, or one can useother oils like olive oil or Coconut oil if Sesame oil createsalergies. It is very good to sooth the nervous system and rejuvenatethe body. It is simple to do, one can do it by oneself and I beleiverequires less oil than a bath. Sunil: I suffer from blood pressure problems and nervous system problems, I think I shall take up your advice. Thanks once again. - As you well know, there are other and easy to apply remedies forLord Shani, it looks the oil bath could be tedious. Also one canstrenghten areas of the horoscope that are affected during Shani'sSadeSati. Sunil: Dear Sabriji, can you kindly expand on how to strengthen areas of the horoscope that are affected during Shani's sadesati, an example from your end would be most helpful in us understanding this delicate area.- Also if one does things in the way Shani likes, e.g. to be simple, humble, honest, disciplined, patient, enduring, express the truth asit is, much as an ascetic or Saddhu is etc., then probably ShaniDeva looks down and sees the person in the way He likes, and doesnot create much problems to correct and guide him towards His goalsand preferences. My thinking is that the Grahas and Devas are notthere to punish us, but to guide us towards the better. If one makesup his mind, and openly expresses and displays the correctbehaviour, then I beleive the Divine does not see much reason topunish us. Of course there may be some bad karma that has been inthe past, and it may be that the karma is returning, but the law ofkarma is for the evolution of man, so if the person is already doingefforts in the correct direction, then probably the returning karmadoes not hurt as much as there is not mcuh need left for that.Just some humble thoughts and observations.Sunil: This is so well put, I have been doing some research in behaviour modification and how it influences grahas and found some good material on it, reading the same in ur mail is most inspiring. I wonder when in india, astrologers will start suggesting/stressing behaviour modification to please the grahas than costly remedy which a common man is unable to do due to lack of money etc. Joy and Abundance Sunil John Mumbai Best Wishes, Sabri. vote. - Register online to vote today! Guest guest
Dear Sunil, Namaste, Thank you so much for your reply. Well, I am not really good at these beautiful stories, which I beleive are from the Puranas, and from other classics like Ramayan etc. But they are beautiful, and since they are connected to Jyotish, they are very important to understand Jyotish. * STORIES, JYTOISH, VEDAS AND HEALING; It can be interesting here that I introduce something that may be new or interesting to some members. You know there is a world-wide known Guru of Meditation and the Vedas with the name Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. He was once asked about Ramayan; the person said; "Why do we have all these wars going on in a spiritual and holy text like Ramayan or Bhagavat Gita?" (this seems like a conflicting thing). And He replied; "Ramayan is also telling us what is going on in our physiology". There is mention about the God, or Gods within us, this is beyond some general thought (the saying; "The God within us"), these scriptures are actually and symbolically describing the human physiology, and what is going on in the physiology. Even there is a book by Nader, about the correspondance between The Human Physiology and the Vedas. E.g. the things going on in Ramayan "on one level and interpretation" at least, describe to us, how the body fights with bacteria etc.etc. Of course they also describe the Universe, and the Divine beings, that's another thing. Plus, as we read and ponder on these scriptures, THIS HAS THE VALUE TO enliven health and good qualities in our physiology, e.g. actually healing. This is how some parts of the scriptures are used for Healing. Example; the vedic book Aagama (if I remember the full name correctly) corresponds to the joints in the body, and one can chant certain parts of this book, to dramatically heal specific joints. * HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE; I do not want to talk so much on Ayur-Ved on this forum for Jyotish; so very shortly, High blood pressure problem is a Vata disorder, Abhyanga is very good overall for settling Vata, you should do it actually every day. This problem is very easily cured, if you can find the right Ayur-Vedic medicine. I will send a mail to you on this. * MEASURES FOR SADESATI; This is my own thinking, hopefully it is correct, and I meant actually something very simple, I meant, if we can foresee in what ares of the horoscope, Shani will be most influencial, then we can strengthen those areas, e.g. Rashis etc. by propitiating their lords. Also in general if Chandra/Moon is strengthened, I beleive this should help a lot, but I might be wrong here, this is my own thinking not based on any reference or anything. My humble feeling is that concepts like Kaala Sarpa yoga and SadeSati are a little bit over-exagerated by some astrologers who like to frighten their customers. These are "inasupicious" for sure, but it does not happen always that when a person goes through SadeSati, that he is totally destroyed! Depending on the placement on other indications in the chart (e.g. the strength of Moon) the period may not be too detrimental. * LIVING IN TUNE WITH THE GRAHAS; Yes, Jyotishis prescribe many different remedies. This is a very long discussion of course, but I beleive there are some subtleties in their use (e.g. the remedies). On the other hand, if we know, under which Grahas influence we are coming, and if we know what this Graha likes and does not like (I mean basic things in Jyotish), then we can take some measures. E.g. if Shani is transiting lagna, and aspecting 7th. house of relationships, then the native should be simple, honest and open in his relationships, and in any contract he is making. E.g. Mangal likes, activity, energy, boldness, courage etc., but I beleive he does not like arrogance (again a quality of Mangal, but a negative quality given by Him). So under his influence, e.g. during His Dasha, or transit, if one is active, and energetic, that should help quite a bit, but one should keep away from arrogance. This does not mean, that such thoughts can replace classical remedies, but I beleive it is good to be aware of this area. ACTUALLY Mark Kincaid on this forum is an expert in this approach.
