Guest guest
Respected Shri.Chandrasekhar, I thank you for your elaborate mail on the subject.Actually I felt previleged to receive such a long mail from you.I do not want to venture any comments as I do not have the depth of knowledge to weigh the words of an esteemed Guru like you. I also admire Ash for his hard work, dedication, grasp of the system and his passionate and uncompromising advocacy of KAS.I came across him accidentally here and he surprised me by working out the date of my marriage quite accurately just on the basis of my birth details.I tested him by giving a few cases - in one case that of a woman married very young around 15 -he was equally correct.Natuarally it prompted me to try to undestand KAS but my progress so far is limited.Within that limitation,I had problem in working out the date of wedding of my own daughter, son in law and a few of my relatives. Regarding matters other than mariage also there is problem. For example I have Capricon Lagna with Mer and Ven together in the 4th.My Lagna Lord saturn is exalted in D9.Using Lahri Ayanamsa,in Mer MD and Sat sub I had startling rise in career by way of prestige, fame, status and reputation but when using KAS,the whole dasa changes,Sat in D9 changes to Scorpio and I am not able to reconcile it with the events in my life.I am not blaming the system but there it is. In the mails from Ash to you I am sad to find him showing symptoms of impatience and intolerance of dissenting views and intellectual arrogance bordering on rudeness. It is bothering. I close my mail with a quotation from Paramahamsa Yogananda. "Pride is blinding, banishing the vision of vastness possessed by greater souls. Humbleness is the open gate through which the divine flood of Mercy and Power loves to flow into receptive souls". - Sri Paramahansa Yogananda With warm regards Kaimal .. - Chandrashekhar S.Ramachandra Kaimal Cc: Ash ; vedic astrology Thursday, September 30, 2004 2:11 AM Re: [vedic astrology] Re: 2nd house Jup in various roles--to Chandrashekhar and Lakshmi on Ashtakvarga Dear Kaimal,I think everybody is assuming I have not understood the system that Ash is referring to. On the contrary I was a member of that list for quite a long time. The list is about timing of events and is named as such. My own approach to astrology is that it is much more than mere timing of events. I think Astrology (at least the Vedic Kind) is meant to try to find problem areas and help people tide over bad times. Guest guest
Dear Kaimal, Thank you for understanding my point of view. When one is not able to predict right it is not the system that is to blame but, perhaps, our own application thereof. You have had your own experience with KAS and its Ayanamsha and therefore have understood why I prefer not to go by mere mathematical points system to predict. This does not detract from the system. It is just that at my age one does not appreciate fast solutions to complex science. One also does not wish to limit oneself to mere timing of events but to find out strengths and weakness of a horoscope. This approach helps to give proper direction to a native, which is what Jyotish is all about for persons of my generation. Thank you for the nice saying of Paramhamsa Yoganand. Take care. Chandrashekhar.
