I am a new member to this forum and a novice in so far as the vast ocean of astrology is concerned. I have got some doubts, which the learned members may like to clarify. I have been told by a very learned astrologer that in the Sapthavarga Balachakraa of an individual, any planet gaining more than 120 Shashtyaamshaa will be his/her lucky planet and that it would bestow its benefic results on him/her during its dhashaa/bukthi/antharaa. If this be so, in the following case, it may be seen that the individual should have had no problems during the dhashaa/bukthi/anthardashaa of Moon, having gained 145 shashtyaamashaa whereas he had undergone sufferings on the contrarary. On the other hand, during Raahu dhashaa / Chandhra bukthi, he earned world fame. It is strange to observe as to how Rahu gave him more benefits than Moon. If we consider the Ishta-Kashta chakra, Moon was to give more problems (Kashta) than Shani (Here Shani is treated in place of Raahu) and compared to Shani, both Guru and Budha were to bestow better Ishta results. His childhood during Budha dhashaa was good and he died as a World Leader in his Guru dhashaa. If we look into his Malefic/Benefic Planets and Bhaavaas derived on the basis of Shat Balachakraa, that includes the Sthaana Balachakraa which includes Sapthavarga, we find Raahu as less benefic than Moon. Below given are the details pertaining to my query: a) SAPTA VARGA BALA CHAKRA RAVI CHAN KUJA BUDH GURU SUKR SANI 105.00 145.00 84.00 83.00 124.00 104.00 104.00 b) ISHTA KASHTA CHAKRA PHALA RAVI CHAN KUJA BUDH GURU SUKR SANI Ishta 14.40 22.80 23.74 46.43 42.55 15.17 32. 93 Kashta 41.54 35.12 35.32 12.61 16.37 42.13 19.70 c) SHAT BALA CHAKRA BALA TYPE RAVI CHAN KUJA BUDH GURU SUKR SANI Sthana 142.67 281.72 188.49 224.05 251.76 203.17 183.85 Digbala 34.40 9.22 21.24 56.12 9.36 38.10 16.76 Kala 133.35 118.57 72.73 186.26 165.66 62.85 271.20 Chesta 0.00 0.00 19.11 42.22 47.95 25.09 21.75 Naisargika 60.00 51.43 17.14 25.71 34.29 42.86 8.57 Drik -3.76 6.07 2.01 -0.46 -4.74 1.76 0.26 TOTAL 366.66 467.01 320.72 533.91 504.27 373.83 502.39 RUPA 6.11 7.78 5.35 8.90 8.40 6.23 8.37 e) BENEFIC & MALEFIC PLANETS AND BHAVA BASED ON SHADBALA PLANET BENEFIC MALEFIC BHAVA BENEFIC MALEFIC Ravi 0.4701 0.5299 Lagna 0.4815 0.5185 Chandra 0.6486 0.3514 II 0.4191 0.5809 Kuja 0.5345 0.4655 III 0.6486 0.3514 Budha 0.6356 0.3644 IV 0.6481 0.3519 Guru 0.6465 0.3535 V 0.5910 0.4090 Sukra 0.5664 0.4336 VI 0.5865 0.4135 Sani 0.8373 0.1627 VII 0.4031 0.5969 Rahu 0.5862 0.4138 VIII 0.4961 0.5039 Ketu 0.6944 0.3056 IX 0.6301 0.3699 Uranus 0.5862 0.4138 X 0.5471 0.4529 Neptune 0.4319 0.5681 XI 0.5111 0.4889 Pluto 0.5315 0.4685 XII 0.6977 0.3023 f) Vimshoththari Dhashaa Years Months Days Balance of BUDHA Dashaa at Birth 02 08 28 BUDHA 02.10.1869 => 30.06.1872 KETU 30.06.1872 => 30.06.1879 SUKRA 30.06.1879 => 30.06.1899 RAVI 30.06.1899 => 30.06.1905 CHANDRA 30.06.1905 => 30.06.1915 KUJA 30.06.1915 => 30.06.1922 RAHU 30.06.1922 => 30.06.1940 GURU 30.06.1940 => 30.06.1956 SANI 30.06.1956 => 30.06.1975 My question is: 1. How to justify the suffering during the Moon dhashaa and the gain of world fame during Raahu dhashaa? 2. What is the significance of each Bala chakraas in delineating an individual's future events? 3. Which is more precise and decisive – The Ishta/Kashta chakraa or the Shat Balachakraa? 4. The present day astrologers simply discuss the various combinantions as in a post mortem after an event takes place instead of predicting the future events well in advance exactly to the point like Pruthuyashas, the great and the son of revered Varahamihiraa due to which more than 75% people have lost faith in astrology? Is it due to various contractions in the system? Can't they prevent any disaster by predicting it well ahead precisely and warn the concerned? What should be done to bring back astrology to the glorious day of Pruthuyashas? Vijayasri
