Guest guest
Dear Raja, I forgot to add, there are two further important things in the handling of such a case; 1- As much as possible, physical activity, on his part, will be very helpful, e.g. long walks in nature etc. The working of the muscles, is very beneficial in such a period, this generates coordination between the mind (e.g. nervous system) and the body, and smooths out the discharge of stress which is giving these symptoms. 2- Also there are very nice tonics for the nervous system in Ayur- Ved, like the syrups Sumedha, Shankhi Pushpi Tagaradi etc. (these should be prescribed by a doctor by the way). There is one important difference between A-Ved remedies and what is prescribed by the western doctor; Antidepressants and such in western medicine, only supress the symptoms that are being experienced, on the other hand, A-Ved medicines, work towards correcting the dosha inbalance that has resulted in the body, which is curing from the root of the problem. According to my opinion and experience, this would not be sufficient in itself, but would be very helpful. What's more such remedies do not have side effects like western medicines mostly have. And last but not least, try to direct his attention to positive and blissful things, which I know is not easy, but possible, with some guidance on your side. This in itself is a treatment.
