Does Jyotish have cure for DEPRESSION ?

Dear Learned members,

 

My father, aged 62.5 years, has been suffering from depression and

anxiety related problems for the last 6-7 months. He has been under

psychiatric treatment and on anti-depressants since March 2004.

 

So far after numerous counselling sessions and medication, we still

do not see any change in his condition. Being a diabetic and a BP

patient, his psychiatrist can also not increase his dosage. My father

keeps having a very very strong negative attitude towards life and

refuses to cooperate and try to have a positive outlook, which is

absolutely essential to come out of this miserable state. He keeps

imagining something is happening to him - either he won't live to see

tomorrow, or he is going to have a heart-attack, or injure himself

etc. etc. In the last 11 months, we have seen so many doctors as my

father keeps imagining he is suffering from different ailments. Even

though his psychiatrist has given him a 100% for his physical health,

my father refuses to accept that his present agony is because of his

mental condition.

 

Is some bad influence befalling him ? Can vedic astrology throw some

light on his condition and guide us to helping him to come out of

this situation ? My mother has been going thru hell on account of my

father's illness, and her patience is running out slowly ...

 

His birth details are :

Date : 02.02.1942

Place : Nagpur (India) 21.09 N, 79.09

Time : Unknown.

 

My father does not have a horoscope, neither was one ever made for

him. We & his other elder siblings do not remember his time of birth.

 

Can you please help ?

Hello Raja,

what you are describing seems to self as severe hormone imbalance.

Generally middle age problem with men and women is severe to mild

Hypo Thyroid problem which even most accomplished doctors are unable

to fathom even with latest diagnostic tools.

Dear Raja,

I just tried few possible time periods for his birth. It seems that

he could be running Rahu Dasha and Venus Antardasha now.

Which could indicate his current troubles. Particularly Venus being

in 6th from Rahu Mahadasa. Giving blood pressure etc.

Rahu is conjoined Moon causing delusions.

Mahrishi Parasara recommends

 

durgAlaxmIjapaM kuryAt.h tataHsukhamavApnuyAt.h || 59||

 

He should recite Recite Durga and Laxmi japa for remedy.

And seek relief from both the mothers.
