Century 9, Quatrain 4

L'an ensuyuant descouverts par deluge,

Deux chefs esleuz le premier ne tiendra:

De fuyr umbre à l'un d'eux le refuge,

Saccagee case qui premier maintiendra

 

Translation:

The year following discoveries out of a flood,

Two leaders elected, the first one will not hold:

For one of them refuge from fleeing a shadow,

Plundered [will be] the house which [the] first will maintain.

Interpretation:

 

Kerry will win the 2004 elections, but he will not hold until

Inauguration.

Edwards will come out of Kerry's shadow and take the White House.
