Guest guest
Dear Learned Teachers & Friends, I have a few questions regarding the Hora Chart. Now, the traditional books say that Jupiter and Mars (& Sun) do well in the Hora of Sun, while Venus and Saturn (& Moon) do well in the Hora of Moon. Mercury does well in both the Horas. Questions (a) If I draw a table with respect to whether the planets Sun and Moon are (Natural) friends of the other planets or not, I get the following table: Sun Moon Jupiter Friend Friend Mars Friend Friend Mercury Friend Enemy Venus Enemy Enemy Saturn Enemy Enemy >From the above table, it seems that the planets who have Sun as a friend will do well in the Hora of Sun, while the planets which have Moon as an *** enemy *** will do well in the Hora of Moon. This is weird since for Mercury, Venus, Saturn the Moon is an enemy, and yet they actually will perform well in the Moon's Hora. Are there any other reasons ? (b) Also, since Mercury does well in both houses, Mercury is always good in the Hora irrespective of the native (ofcouse apart from tha fact that for an odd Rashi, the Sun's Hora is more effective and vice-versa). Still, this indicates that for a huge part of the population, Mercury will be always be good for the purpose of wealth. Does anyone have anything else to add related to this or any other things that one may have to consider with respect to Mercury's position in the Hora chart? Thanks & Regards, P. Guest guest
Dear Shri Pradipto I will explain my understanding. By seeing the divisional charts alone,no one should make any predictions.Planets present at the time of our birth observed from 30 degree sign divisions represent rashi.Or in other words we are dividing each sign in Rashi chart by '1' to find a planets position within that rashi.Since the division is by '1' the result is not altered. Similarly when we divide each sign by 2 ,we have 15 degrees of each sign.Depending on odd and even signs the 15 degrees are divided into Horas of sun and moon respectively. Thus after ascertaining presence of dhana yogas in Rashi, one has to analyse the strength of planets. For this purpose sages say,Sun,Mars and Jupiter fare well in suns hora while venus and saturn fare well in Moons hora. Reason being the gender of planets.Sun ,Mars and Jupiter are Male while Venus,Saturn and Moon are female.Mercury is napumsaka. Learned members may correct me.
