Guest guest
Hello Poolat: Exhalted Saturn, usually in Lagna or 10th house, is the most prominent combination for Dhanyoga. -- I've seen this one fail, i.e. the man worked as a bookeeper and lived a middle class life despite having exhalted Saturn in Lagna. However, this yog has worked beautifully in the case of Bill Gates. Guest guest
Hello Mr.Poolat It is a very difficult question as a chart has to be analysed by taking consideration of natural, functional qualities of planets. But as a general rule,if there is a link between all 2nd,5th,9th and 11th houses there lies a promise. If the lagna is involved then it adds to the strength. Position of karakas, strength in various amshas etc can modify the results. This is all i know.Learned members could help us. Guest guest
Here's stuff on Dhan Yoga, written by SJC Guru Asia Pasific Mr. Sarajit Poddar. Dhana Yogas: Combinations For Wealth INTRODUCTION Maharishi Parashara in BPHS says that the Kendras are specifically the houses of happiness and the Trikonas are the houses of Wealth and Prosperity. This is because Kendras are ruled by Vishnu, the sustainer and Trikonas are governed by Lakshmi, the giver of prosperity. Thus, these houses shall appear prominently in the combinations of wealth. Along with it, 2nd house is the house of accumulated wealth and 11th house is the house of gains or income and thus, these houses are equally important in the matters of wealth. 12th signify the house of loss and its involvement in the combinations show loss of wealth. Lets see what different classics have to say in these matters of wealth: Bhavartha Ratnakara If the there’s a parivartana between either the 2nd and 5th lords or the 2nd and 11th lords, the native earns a lot. This is also true for the placement of the 5th and 9th lords in their own houses. Here the author talks of the association of the lord of wealth (accumulated), i.e., 2nd lord, with either the 5th house (Trine) or the 11th house (gains), the native earns a lot of money. This to note here that while 9th house shows past, the 5th house shows future. Since the author talks of involvement of the 5th lord, the native shall "Earn" the wealth with his own effort and not inherit from his Father (lineage), as signified by the 9th house. In the subsequent line, the author speaks of the strength of the 5th and 9th houses, the key houses of blessings of Lakshmi. If the lords of 2nd and 11th are associated with lords of the 5th and 9th, dhana yoga results. Here the author, reiterates the same concept, just to give emphasis on the association of the houses of wealth and gains with the houses representing the blessings of Lakshmi. Various combinations can be possible by the association with the 2nd and 11th lord with 5th and 9th house. However, in my humble opinion, association of 2nd lord with 5th and 9th lords or houses are more important that 11th lords association with the 5th and 9th lords (the houses are given lower priority), in bestowing wealth to the native. If the said planets (2nd and 11th)are associated with lords other than the 5th and 9th, no dhana yoga results; however, the native does enjoy moderate wealth. This statement is particularly important, as this states that in the absence of any dhana yoga, the person would not suffer penury and shall have riches based on the inherent strength of the 2nd, 11th, 5th and 9th houses. The person shall have moderate wealth and can make a comfortable living out of it as long as there is no association of the houses of wealth with "BAD" houses (which we shall discuss in the combinations for penury). There’ll be loss of wealth if the 12th lord associates with the 2nd and 11th lords. 12th is the house of losses and association of the 12th lord (vyayesha) with the lords of the 2nd and 11th lords, shall cause loss of wealth. However, this cannot be interpreted as lack of wealth. This can be interpreted as the native shall earn wealth based on the association of the lords of the houses of wealth (2nd and 11th) with the houses of blessings of lakshmi (5th and 9th) or their inherent strength, however, the native has to face losses on unexpected ventures as indicated by the 12th house or 12th lord. It’s always fortunate for Jupiter to associate with the 2nd lord and Mercury. Here the author brings in the influence of the Karaka for wealth, Jupiter. It is known that if the karaka of a house is well placed of associate with the lord of the house of aspect the house, then that particular significations of the house is enhanced. If Jupiter associate (conjunct, aspect, have exachange) with the 2nd lord (11th lord is left out, as accumulated wealth is under focus), the native is fortunate and can have good bank balance. Why Mercury is brought into picture is yet to be understood! If the 1st, 2nd and 11th lords are in their own houses, a dhana yoga is formed In the first stanza, the author talked of the stength of the 5th and 9th lords/ houses, whereby here he talks of the strength of the trine which was left out, i.e., the Lagna and the lord/ houses of wealth and gain. The purpose of seggregating these into two different places can be priority which the author gives for the strength of the combination to bestow wealth. In my humble opinion, the exaltation and other strengths (sthana bala in shadbala scheme) of the said lords shall also noteworthy to be studied in the context of Dhana Yogas. If the 2nd and 11th lords are in the lagna, a powerful dhana yoga results While in previous stanzas, the author speaks of the association of the 2nd and 11th lords with the trinal lords, namely 5th and 9th; in this stanza, he mentions the placement of the lords of wealth and gain together in the Lagna can also bestow a powerful dhanayoga. In my humble opinion, the combination can be extended to placement of the 2nd and 11th lord in 5th and 9th too. If one of the two of the 2nd and 11th lords are placed in the trine, then the combination is proportionately weakened. The placement of 5th or 9th lord in the houses of wealth and income, however has lesser consequences on the matters of wealth. © Sarajit Poddar (Singapore, July 20, 2004) Regards M.IMRAN vijayadas_pradeep <vijayadas_pradeep > wrote: Hello Mr.PoolatIt is a very difficult question as a chart has to be analysed by taking consideration of natural, functional qualities of planets. But as a general rule,if there is a link between all 2nd,5th,9th and 11th houses there lies a promise. If the lagna is involved then it adds to the strength.Position of karakas, strength in various amshas etc can modify the results. This is all i know.Learned members could help us.RegdsPradeep--- In vedic astrology, "monmuk111" <monmuk111> wrote:> Hello Poolat:> > Exhalted Saturn, usually in Lagna or 10th house, is the most > prominent combination for Dhanyoga. -- I've seen this one fail, i.e. > the man worked as a bookeeper and lived a middle class life despite > having exhalted Saturn in Lagna.> > However, this yog has worked beautifully in the case of Bill Gates.> > Mukund> > vedic astrology, "poolaat" <poolaat> > wrote:> > Dear List,> > > > What is the most prominent combination for Dhanyoga.Without any> > doubt one can say that someone is very rich/or not. Guest guest
Dear Imran and others Also watch planets in 8th house and 8th lord. Many a times, if well positioned in a chart, can give sudden and bulky gains. 5th lord in 8th is wealth giver as well. positioning of natural benefic planets(somya planets like venus, jupiter etc) are considered wealth giving combination, as their aspect on 2nd house promote wealth. Of course, this rule can not be applied in isolation. Also, no wealth combination can give sustained results, more than strength of lagna. In addition to wealth giving combination, it more important to identify less giving planets and sustainability of chart for wealth. regards/Prafulla vedic astrology, Muhammad Imran <astroimran> wrote: > Dear Poolat, > > Here's stuff on Dhan Yoga, written by SJC Guru Asia Pasific Mr. Sarajit Poddar. > > Dhana Yogas: Combinations For Wealth > > INTRODUCTION > > Maharishi Parashara in BPHS says that the Kendras are specifically the houses of happiness and the Trikonas are the houses of Wealth and Prosperity. Guest guest
Dear Prafulla and Group, I also agree with Prafulla about 8th house and planets in 8th house with > 4 bindus. They become eager to give 11th house results. 8th house is 10th from 11th and upchaya. Similarly 4th house lord and planets in 4th house with > 4 bindus also become eager to give 11th house result. [4th is 6th from 11th .. upchaya] Rahu and Ketu in 4th or 8th house also become very eager to give 11th house results in their antra. But all this is only 11th house matters. One should also keep a close eye on 12th house and expenses and 2nd house for wealth. If there is very good income at the same time the expenses are more then net result might "feel" different. If 2nd house is activated and 11th house is good also then 11th may generate wealth. However, Planets in 8th house if its Guru and if 2nd house is Pisces then it will be eager to give wealth. If Ju or Ve or any other planet in 8th house with > 4 bindus and if its not lord of 11th or 7th then it will not give wealth unless they act as samdharmi to some other planet [i am specificially talking of the result in these planets antar dasha in vimshottari dasha]. Similarly if Mercury is aspecting 2nd house and if 2nd house is Virgo then 11th house lord (10th from 2nd) is also Mercury so then its aspect cannot be of enimity. Likewise if 2nd house is Taurus then 7th house is Libra (6th from 2nd in that case if Venus is in 8th house then its sight cannot be of enimity. It is also said that planets with low bindus i.e < 4 bindus in 8th house or more bindus i.e. > 4 bindus in 2nd house should not mis play with money. Such things can come out in the open during antras of planets that are strong for 8th house. Transit of Guru and Shani is also important factor to consider for financial matters. My 2 cents worth, Cheers !!! Ash vedic astrology, "Prafulla Gang" <prafulla.gang@r...> wrote: > Dear Imran and others > > Also watch planets in 8th house and 8th lord. Guest guest
Yes, off course all the four relevant houses(2,5,8,11) matter in wealth formation. No doubt the 8th house stands for money through partner, dowry, dead sources, windfall, insurance, secret ways, treasures etc. The second quadruplicity formed by the succedent houses (2,5,8,11) stand for wealth, earnings, securities and all financial matters. Even people having greater number of planets in this quadruplicity care much about wealth and savings. Natural benefics in these houses become catalyst to yield wealth according to their nature and mode. While the placement of lords of these 2,5,8,11 houess in angles sustain the flow of wealth. But this will off course a one sided story. Let say in a chart you find a powerful dhan-yoga, but what when there is also a daridar yoga or poverty indications. The net sum-and-susbtance tell the situation. On ther other hand, it is also possible that one may attains lot of money and assets, but devoid of fame, and greatness and conversely one who possses unsullynied name, knowledge and power but not much wealth ! Guest guest
Out of 12 signs, Leo and Aqu have same dhan giver ie. Mercury and Jupiter respectively. For Leo ascendant both 2nd and 11th houses are owned by Mercury while for Aqu ascendant both 2nd and 11th houses are owed by Jupiter. Lagnesh of both the ascendants (Su, Sa) are neutral to them(Me, Ju) respectively. Now what if Jup for Aq ascendant is placed in 6th(cancer) with exaltations. For a wealth giver planet this position is quite undesireable to occupy in 6th house. As a rule 11th lord in 6th is worse than 2nd lord in 6th. Generally speaking 2nd/11th lord in 6th may give dhan/labha through enemies, hospitals and warfare, and losses due to punishment of king or hospitalization. But here it also shows lot of financial ups and down in life, it does not mean the native would be poor. But they often have not prudish financial plannings for themselves. Though they may earn huge money suddenly by can not enjoy their earnings/savings for a long time on account of either diseases or enemies. For the very case, if Sun (and Jup) are afflicted (via aspect or argala) by Rahu then native may be loss wealth through over taxes, governmental fines, and cheating in official matters. Guest guest
Dear Imran, I had a three questions: 1. 2-6-10 form Artha Trikona. So for Kumbh Lagna, 2nd. Lord exalted in 6th.. wouldn't that mean that the native works hard (in service) to earn and save in his life. However, 6th. is 8th. from 11th. So 11th. Lord exalted in 8th. from itself could imply that the native has sudden gains in his/her career. just, to site an example, Amitabh Bachchan has this combination. 2. My second question is again for the same Kumbh Lagna and Jup. What do you think would be the implications if Jup is in the 7th. house instead of the 6th. with the Lagnesh. This gives Jup's 5th. aspect on the 11th. house. However, as a 2nd. Lord, it is 6th. from itself. 3. My third question is of a general nature. Which lord according to you is more responsible for financial status of a native-2nd. or 11th.? Thanks in advance, Regards, Souvik vedic astrology, Muhammad Imran <astroimran> wrote: > Dear Neha, > > Out of 12 signs, Leo and Aqu have same dhan giver ie. Mercury and Jupiter respectively. Guest guest
Dear List, Thanks to everybody for sharing their valuable knowledge in this group. It seems there is no simple combination to concude richness. But, the Moon and Mars combination is also good for the extreme wealth(not sure), if so , then only the combination or the aspects also work ? Any help is appreciated. > > If the 2nd and 11th lords are in the lagna, a powerful dhana yoga results > > While in previous stanzas, the author speaks of the association of the 2nd and 11th lords with the trinal lords, namely 5th and 9th; in this stanza, he mentions the placement of the lords of wealth and gain together in the Lagna can also bestow a powerful dhanayoga. > > © Sarajit Poddar (Singapore, July 20, 2004) > > Regards > > M.IMRAN > > > > > vijayadas_pradeep <vijayadas_pradeep> wrote: > > Hello Mr.Poolat > > It is a very difficult question as a chart has to be analysed by > taking consideration of natural, functional qualities of planets. > But as a general rule,if there is a link between all 2nd,5th,9th and > 11th houses there lies a promise. If the lagna is involved then it > adds to the strength. > Position of karakas, strength in various amshas etc can modify the > results. > This is all i know.Learned members could help us. > > Regds > Pradeep > > vedic astrology, "monmuk111" <monmuk111> > wrote: > > Hello Poolat: > > > > Exhalted Saturn, usually in Lagna or 10th house, is the most > > prominent combination for Dhanyoga. -- I've seen this one fail, > i.e. > > the man worked as a bookeeper and lived a middle class life > despite > > having exhalted Saturn in Lagna. > > > > However, this yog has worked beautifully in the case of Bill Gates. > > > > Mukund > > > > vedic astrology, "poolaat" <poolaat> > > wrote: > > > Dear List, > > > > > > What is the most prominent combination for Dhanyoga.Without any > > > doubt one can say that someone is very rich/or not. Guest guest
Namaste Poolat, Chandra Mangal Yoga sure does give a lot of wealth, especially when chandra and mangal are lords of dhana/lakshmi sthana (2, 5, 9, 11). This yoga is formed when chandra and mangal are conjunct or when they are placed exactly opposite to each other. May Sri Vishnu bless us all. Guest guest
Dear Souvik, Ans-1: The artha trikona(2,6,10) stands for material motivation of soul. Thus efforts and activities for wealth and mundane gain fall in its jurisdiction. The 2nd house shows our savings and securities in the context of artha trinkon whereas 6th indicates working, serving and dependance, and 10th what position we attain in society and karma. (2nd=fuel, 6th=driving force, 10th=target). As a rule trine houses boost each other, therefore 2nd helps 6th, 6th helps or give potential to 10th and 10th helps or provides 2nd house. Linking 2nd and 6th equal to "work for savings/assets". But for Aq it is not well suited as Ju is Satvik graha and exalted in Cancer(6th for Aq) therefore money for 'self' is void and other matters highlights (working for occult interest, eduation and family etc). Secondly benefic planets donot yield 'hard working' but 'work with honesty and in a decent way'. Moreover 6th Ju may make one lazy or day dreamer. I agree to you that 11th lord exaled in 6th (8th from 11th) is placementwise bad but also give sudden income. But dont forget that fluctuations will always be there. (look deeper the case of Amitabh for financial ups and down) Ans-2: For Aq, Ju+Sa in 7th is a very good position, and may push the native to earn through business with brothers or government. He may has dedicated and well off friends. Here the matters of 11th house enhance more as compare to 2nd. The native may be more hard working than one who has earlier case (6th Ju in Cn). Ans-3: As I have hinted in previous message that all succedent houses (Panaphar bhavas 2,5,8,11) reveal wealth related matters. 2nd shows (nature/capacity) what we can save and 11th shows what we can earn. In short, 2nd=saving stocks and 11th=income flow. If someone has strong 11th and weak 2nd house then this mean he is enjoying a very good income/salary but unable to save. While if 2nd house is powerful than 11th, then his income may not be smart but he always try to secure his earnings. Similarly read 5th and 8th (as 2nd and 11th from 7th) with respect to business partner or spouse. That is, if these (5th, 8th)houses are strong and beneficially disposed than one may attains wealth and gain via partner/people we associate.
