I want to make it perfectly clear that the methods of Sanjay Rath

are not to be promoted here. My association with Mr. Rath goes back

many years and, without doubt, his contribution to astrology is (at

best) confusing, misleading and downright erroneous. He, more often

than not, makes up his own ridiculous rules to counter his appalling

inability to grasp the fundamentals of jyotish. He's a prime example

of one trying to skip before he can walk...with disastrous results!

His title of "Pundit" is as fraudulent as everything else he does. I

must insist therefore that his methods are NOT promoted here.

 

I disapprove totally in character assassination and frown upon

people spreading rumours about his personal ethics. However I will

speak out against his methods whenever they encroach upon this

list...

I personally feel that the comments posted by Wendy are primarily

her own prejudices and should not be looked at. We must go by our

own experiences and the knowledge he has shared with us.

My personal experiences have been very nice on each ocassion and I

found him very affectionate, caring and responsible person.

Astrology is not an abstract science, it considers compound factors

for any conclusions. So, his readings and principles must be read in

line with related facts/technical issues. Most astrologer always

look at multiple factors and many a times, most of these multiple

factors are not provided in analysis, BUT astrologer considers them

all, prior to their respective readings.

 

Such personal bias should not be permitted against anyone.

Dear Mukund Ji,

I consider Jyotish as the Divine Science and while learning I read it with

spirituality.Many times my predictions also go wrong and I feel that GOD wants

my prediction to go wrong due to my sins did in past life.Also many times my

prediction became 100 % true.That does not mean that I am the Brahma, the

creator.One must control his/ her anger, emotions, ego or Ahamkara, then only

his/ her predictions may become true sometimes.Prashna Margam clearly gives

these statements in the beginning and also writes that one must do the

rightous deeds, not become jealous of anybody, etc.etc.....,worship his Ishta

Devatha, perform Sandhya Vandanam regularly,worship Nava Grahas,repsect his

Guru and other learned Pundits etc.These are our Hindu culture and is in our

blood.One should have a basic knowledge of Vedas and

Puranas.

So if somebody writes bad against a learned Pundit like Sanjay Ji, it shows the

person's jealousness and Ahamkara as such person's predictions become wrong and

nobody listens to such person.So in such cases ignoring is the best medicine.

just pray to GOD to give good intellect ( Buddhi ) to such persons who do such eveil deeds.

All those analysing horoscopes should watch out for what their nodes

are upto in their own horoscopes. Because, as Pandit Sanjay Rath

says, we are activating the nodes in our charts each time we work on

the horoscopes.

 

Could be a reason, why astrologers fight so much! Best way is to

ignore such behaviour.

 

Different discussion groups are now formed into islands, identifying

with either a system or a personality!

 

Vedic astrologers as a community are only a small group and it does

not help anyone's cause to fight among themselves.

Please address me as Mukund, not Mukund-ji as I'm much much younger

to you in age and life-experience.

 

What bothered me about this Wendy woman is she repeatedly called

Sanjay a fraud and when I attempt to argue against her, she banned me

from her list.

 

If one makes a slanderous remark against Sanjay whom I respect

greatly, I should have the opportunity to argue my case.

 

Well, I should have realized that insecurity causes people to bad-

mouth others.

I said earlier that Sanjay ji's A6 has Rahu and people with a strong Rahu or

under Rahu's influence tend to trouble him (but sadly he is sometimes attracted

to such people. Why did I say this?).

 

The lady in question has Jupiter at 21 deg 11 min in Cancer and Rahu at 21 deg

24 min in Cancer. Rahu causes a severe Guru-Chandala yoga and is a prominent

planet in the chart. He aspects Capricorn lagna. Moreover, the lady is running

Rahu's Moola dasa.

 

If anybody dismisses Sanjay or spews venom on him, immediately check their

chart. You will find a strong Rahu or Rahu dasa running.

 

The lady said she has a long association with Sanjay ji and his approach is

confusing and misleading. I too have a long association and have been his

student since 1997-98. I was the second student accepted by him (after Ashok

Koushik). He is not your standard astrology teacher. He likes to tease,

intentionally confuse you a little and watch as you sort your way through the

confusion. He teaches only what you are ready for and when you are ready for

it. If you need to get the maximum out of him, you need to be humble, sincere,

committed, and yet of inquisitive and questioning nature. You need to work

hard. He does not spoon-feed. This is the traditional Indian way. But, those

who are unfamiliar with this approach may misconstrue it.

 

Astrology is the science of light. As we become better and better astrologers,

agni tattva within us becomes stronger and stronger. Sanjay ji once said that

this strengthens Sun within us and increases ego. So good astrologers tend to

be egoistic. Though they say "vidyaa dadaati vinayam" (learning gives

humility), this is not true in astrology and some other agni tattva subjects.

We should consciously try to culitvate humility. This is not criticism aimed at

anyone. Most of us have this drawback and we need to try to overcome it.

 

I am very confident that none of us has the perfect knowledge of the teachings

of Sages. The moment we think we have the perfect knowledge and others are

wrong is the moment our growth stops.

 

Just for the record, people from various schools of thought in Vedic astrology

are welcome here. As long as people stick to astrology, differences of opinion

should be and will be tolerated. Perhaps we can learn from each other, if we

learn to ignore the arrogant and all-knowing postures of some. It is unwise to

ban certain views within the gamut of Vedic astrology.

 

Unfortunately, not every list has the same attitude. But there is no point in

worrying about what is not in our hands.

PS: People with a strong Guru-Chandala yoga can pray to Sun. When the priest

(Jupiter) is troubled by a bad man (Rahu), he does not fight back (being a

Brahmin) and silently suffers. It is only the king (Sun) who can punish the bad

man (Rahu) and give relief to the priest (Jupiter). If your Jupiter is shackled

by Rahu, pray to Sun!

king (Sun) who can punish the bad man (Rahu) and give relief to the

priest (Jupiter). If your Jupiter is shackled by Rahu, pray to Sun!
