M/s.Chandrasekarji , Mukund ji, Tatvam-Asiji.

Please be kind enough to advise me the date on which the Earth / Moon started

its rotation Though I know the event cause partially , I do not know the timing

and as well as do not know to calculate the same mathematically . My villagers

challenge that even me taking the issue with your good officers would be a

futile attempt. They have given me a fortnight time, kindly offer me the

solution.

Dear Dhananjayan,

Your village Pundits are not wrong in a way. However if we remember

that the entire universe is created at beginning of each Manvantara, it

might not be impossible to calculate.

The time would be when Satya Yuga started, this would be calculated by

arriving at beginning of current Manvantara. Manvantara are calculated

in following manner.

71 MAHAYUGA = 43,20,000X71 = 1 MANVANTAR

1 MANVANTAR = 30,6720,000 YEARS

.. The number of years in a Mahayuga is total of four Yugas whose years

are given below.

SATYUG 4,32,000

YEARS X 4 = 17,28,000 YEARS

TRETA 4,32,000 YEARS X 3 = 12,96,000 YEARS

DWAPAR 4,32,000 YEARS X 2 = 8,64,000 YEARS

KALIYUG 4,32,000 YEARS X 1 = 4,32,000 YEARS

The total makes one Mahayuga. Find out when Current Manu is said to be

born from Purana. This marks the beginning of the Manvantara. Now

Kaliyuga began on the day Lord Krishna passed away. His birth is dated

to be on 3138 B.C. So you can calculate the time of rotation of earth

with respect to current Manvantara..
