Dear David,

If possible, please give us the source of this information? This is a

generic statement, and a chart should be examined in a wholistic

persective.

On pondering a little more, I thought of a chart where a person's

natal Moon (waxing or waning?) would be in the 3rd from the

Ascendant. Jupiter is considered unfavorable here, as it is the

Marana Kaaraka Sthaana (roughly translated as the place of death) for

Jupiter.

Again, the above was one scenario.

Lastly – are you assuming Jupiter to be favorable, at all times, for

all ascendants?

Hope some of this helps.

Best wishes,

Nitin.

Hello Honorable members,

My question is why in Vedic astrology is it not necessarily

considered a favorable factor for an individual for Jupiter to be

transiting the house containing an individual's Moon? Or am I

mistaken in my interpretation of what I have read? Please advise or

direct me to a post/ resource that contains the relevant information.

Sincerely,

David Engisch

Dear Nitin and members,

I had a feeling that I should give more of a context for my question

on Jupiter in transit over natal Moon. Thank you for keeping me

honest. ; ) To come clean, the information I was referring to

regarding Jupiter's transit of natal moon position was from a

secondary -- quite likely VERY secondary -- source, a web site for

Vedic Astrology.

To answer your question, Nitin, I was trying to not assume that

Jupiter is always favorable, because of its natural significations

or the like, but to be honest once again, I was assuming a lot about

its effect in my own chart based on its natal position: 5th house in

Pisces w/ Venus almost directly opposite the natal Moon in early

degrees of Virgo (around 2degrees). Jupiter in my chart could be

said to be weakened by avastha position (1 degree and some minutes/

secs) and because Saturn is aspecting the 5th house from the 8th in

Genini (natal).

(I tried to honor the contextual nature of Vedic Astrology chart

interpretation in my wording of my initial post, but I think I

missed a bit by not going far enough. Please accept my apologies.

Proper, rigorous use of language is sometimes all we have in

studying this great spiritual science across the internet.)

Thanks for your attention to my post.

Sincerely,

David
