Here is an example chart for evalauating health related matters.

77,25 E

5.30 E ZONE.

 

Did this individual have major events related to health.If yes - of

what kind.When was it?The reason.

 

It will be of great help and a learning experience if members can

analyse and explain.

Dear Pradeep,

 

Here is my attempt to solve the quiz that you sent. I noted down the hora (Me) &

kala (Ve) in which I saw your email and it appears at first glance to be a

problem related to Me.

 

I then cast the chart according to the data you gave and am getting Ge lagna

(27°53’) with retrograde Ju in lagna. Looking at Me, I found that it is the

lagna & 4th lord placed in the 6th house along with the 3rd lord, Sun who is

the dispositor of the 8th lord Sa, placed in Kendra to it (paraspara karaka).

Me is also the AK placed in the 8th house of navamsa suggesting some chronic

troubles and is conjoined debilitated retrograde Ju. Looking at all these

factors, it is

possible that there could be some health problems.

 

What kind of health problems? According to kalapurusha (8th lord in 3rd house),

Leo rasi rules stomach and I would guess some digestive problems related to the

stomach (probably some chronic ulcers etc). I am not sure about the timing and

would wait for your feedback to find out whether I am on the right or wrong

track. I hazard a guess that it would happen during Me-Su (around 1996/97).

 

What about Ve? It is placed in 5th house (stomach again?) aspected by three

malefics (Ma, Sa & Ra – graha dristi) indicating curse of spouse. Saving grace

is aspect of Jupiter alone in lagna. Parasara teaches that Ju alone in lagna is

the greatest blessings and just like a single bow to Lord Shiva destroys all the

sins, Ju protects the native likewise. He is running a not-so-terrific Rahu

Moola dasa till 2009 incidentally. Any on-going problems related to 8th and 9th

house matters?

 

Finally 6th lord Ma is placed in 2nd with 2nd lord in 10th afflicted by nodes.

Any problems with his eyesight (karaka for eyes in 6th) or face in general?

Thanks a lot for your reply.

As i know the problem, my analysis might always try to find some

problem in the chart.

 

As you have rightly pointed out there were some chronic health

problems.Yes he had some eye problems as well.But got it cured

through surgery.But the main area of my quiz was not

stomach,somewhere else.There were problems(?) in 96/97.But major had

happened at another time.

 

I have found Lagna has 7th and 10th lord jupiter.7th is a

maraka.Blemish of kendradipathya ? as it lords the maraka and the

strongest kendra.As jupiter is not in its own house kendradhipatya

may have an influence?

 

But I agree with you that jupiter in lagna is a strong blessing as is

the case with this individual.Only problem is regarding the strength.

ruled by rahu and rahu in turn is in 4th house and 4th lord is in 6th

hence subjected to some problems.

I have observed that saturn behaved as 8th lord during its first half

while transiting gemini.As he is 4th from natal moon(kantaka) and

igniting natal jupiter (7th lord).Thus as 8th lord he brought

loss/refusal regarding marriage.As 9th lord he brought the individual

abroad giving a boost to his career.Kindly write if this was the

logic you had in mind while asking the question(8th 9th ongoing

problems).

First of all, I request you to drop the ji part and call me simply Hari. Thank

you for your feedback and I have seen Vinay's attempt also.

 

After I sent my mail to you, I was musing on what happens if Ju is a functional

malefic for that lagna or badhakesh...will Parasara's statement still hold

true? I think he had made this statement when discussing the evils at birth so

I think this results in nullifying any balaarishtas that may be there at birth

or in protecting the native from grievous injuries due to accidents etc.

 

Now coming back to the case, you have confirmed that there are chronic health

troubles faced by the native. Also that he faced some eyeproblems as well. My

calculation of the kala was wrong but I hope my statement that Me indicates the

problem turns out to be right...

 

My logic that if there was chronic health problems, then it should have

manifested from birth and after ascertaining the connection between lagna & 8th

lord, I used the kalapurusha to find out the area of the human body where the

problem lay. Note that he ran Sa MD from birth as well. Now that you say I am

not correct, I am a little bemused to find out the mistake in my logic. Ruling

out the kalapurusha, then we have to examine the 6th house and 6th lord (Vinay:

Sc comes into the picture only if it is clear involvement of 8th lord?). I have

already dealt with the 6th lord to pinpoint the eyetroubles. 6th house

indicates hip region and conjunction of lagna lord with 3rd lord (short

duration travels) Sun (karaka for bones?) could indicate fracture of hips or

some such problems in the hips. I agree with Vinay that this could have

happened during Me-Ma (1998-99). Vinays point about the 6th co-lord Ketu being

stronger is very right but the other co-lord is

debilitated in Cancer and has more potential to cause trouble than Ketu who is in his moolatrikona.

 

It appears from your feedback that my reading of the curse was wrong; I should

have checked for involvement of 7th house/7th lord also. But then I dont know

how to explain why the marriage got cancelled. By problems with 8th and 9th

house matters (lorded by Sa), I was asking if any problems are there such as

father, fortune, debts etc. I hope other gurus will comment on the logic used

by me in the first mail.

 

One more question: was the father of the native very unhappy at the time of

birth of the native?

Dear Hari and Pradeep,

Sorry for butiing in. One point I want to make is about the marriage.

With seventh lord jUpiter in both birth chart as well as Nmas, and Jup

in best place in the first house, there is nothing to disturb his

marriage except the retrograde Jupiter in both charts. This gives us

some clue about the behavior of retro planets which is often

mysterious.
