Guest guest
Hi An astrologer (via email) told me that I'll will live beyond Madhya Ayu but not reach Purna Ayu. Can anyone tell me what is the range for Madhya Ayu and Purna Ayu and what does the above statement infer? Regards Kumar
Guest guest
|Hare Rama Krsna| Dear Kumar, Namaskar Heres an extract from my writeup on Balarishta which will be presented at the SJC- USA West Coast conference this year; There are 7 types of longevity given to human beings. These are: l2 level1 lfo3">1. Bälariñöa 0-8 l2 level1 lfo3">2. Yogäriñöa 9-20 l2 level1 lfo3">3. Alpa 21-32 l2 level1 lfo3">4. Madhya 33-64 l2 level1 lfo3">5. Dérgha 65-120 l2 level1 lfo3">6. Divya 121-1000 l2 level1 lfo3">7. Amita Limitless Jaimini states that Dérgha Ayur is for 108 years, and gives 36 and 72 as the limits for Alpa and Madhya Ayur respectively. Jaimini’s work was written in Kali Yuga and hence meant for those born in it; hence we may accept his view. Those who live for 1000 years are said to be those divine beings devoted to the service of God, whilst limitless longevity is a characteristic of a sage. Specifically for the Vishnu Dasa-Avatar; Yogas exist for longevity lasting till the end of a Yuga. Guest guest
Dear Visti Larsen Thanks for the reply. One astrologer predicted my friend that he'll LIVE FAR BEYOND MADHYA AYU BUT WONT REACH PURNA AYU(DERGHA AYU?). Can I conclude this interpretation that the person will live beyond 64 years but less than 120 years?. By the way, I searched lot of places in internet regarding the longevity but could find only few. Good to know that you've written an article explaining those. I'll try to get hold of it when it is published. Guest guest
|Hare Rama Krsna| Dear Kumar, Namaskar If you notice in the notes given below the table - the longevity is adjusted for Kali Yuga - making Madhya Ayus 72 years and Purna Ayus 108 years. Try: www.srath.com there Sanjay Rath has given a very thorough article on longevity under Raths Lectures.
