Namaste Aravinda, Guru's and Learned Members,

The native had requested to the list on Dec 31, 2003 and also requested me to

see her chart and give my analysis on whether she will be successful in her

attempt in the forthcoming Indian Civil Services exam's in Mid 2005.

Bear with me for my long and detailed analysis, but I thought it is required to

see the chart in such a great details for this prestigious Service in India.

I have considered the following birth details for the analysis:-

January 7, 1979Time: 7:03:00Time Zone: 5:30:00 (East of

GMT)Place: 78 E 28' 00", 17 N 23' 00", India

I will applying various methods, to see the outcome from different angles.

1) In Rasi Chart, the Lagna Lord Jup Exalted, Retrograde and placed in Cn of 8th

house form Lagna. Amatya Karaka is Sun and who is 9th lord and placed in Lagna,

that is good. Lagna also have Mars ( 5th and 12th Lord), Mer 7th and 10th Lord.

In Lagna Rajya Pada(A10) is placed along with HL and A11.

So the Lagna is very strong. Now if you look a the Amatya Karaka Sun's point of

view, he is aspecting 4th, 7th and 10th (10th house has 36 SAV) houses, which

means Sun is in control of Kendras this indicates to me that, this person

enjoys the Administrative jobs.

Now let us look at the 6th house for service. 6th Lord Venus is placed in Sc

the 12th house and being aspected by Moon and Retro Jup( Lagna Lord) by Rasi

drishti. Jup also having a graha dristi on Venus too.

2) Let us quickly see the Nakshatra's point of view. Sun the AmK is in P.Ashada

Nakshatra ruled by Venus, who is nothing but 6th Lord. 6th Lord Venus is in

Anuradha Nakshatra ruled by Saturn who is nothing but 3rd lord placed in Leo in

9th house. The Saturn is in P.Phalguni Nakshatra ruled by Venus again. So the

relationship between Sun(AmK and also 9th Lord), Sat (3rd Lord) Venus(6th Lord)

is very strong.

Vimsottari Dasa (started from Moon):

This is a very clear indication for a success as I have described above from the

Rasi chart point of view.

3) Now let us see the Navamsa: Sc Lagna rising and Lagna lord is in own sign,

3rd lord Sat, 5th lord Jup and 10th Lord Sun are all placed together in Li. 6th

lord Mar is placed in Lagna and aspecting 3rd, 6th and 9th houses by rasi

drishti. Here 7th and 12th lord Venus is placed in Leo and having parivartana

with Sun. Jup is aspecting 6th house by graha drishti too. Good combinations.

4) Now let us see the Dasamsa: Dasamsa Laga is Leo and Lagna Lord Sun is placed

in Cn with moon, Moon is in its own sign along with 5th and 8th Lord Jup. Here

the Sun is Amk and Moon is PiK. 2nd and 11th lord Mer is placed in 6th house and

aspecting Sun,Moon, and Retro Jup in cancer by graha dristi. 3rd and 10th lord

Venus is in Vi which is 2nd house from Lagna and 4th from AL. Here you will

notice that Venus is debilitated and but had a Neecha Bhanga Raja Yoga too.

Rahu is aspecting 11th, 2nd and 4th and 6th houses. 10th house is Ta and it has

34 SAV bindus and 10th Lord Venus is placed in Vi and Vi has 36 SAV bindus.

5) Now let us see the D-1 Narayana Dasa's pint of view:-

Let us see how is Pi Maha dasa for the native as during this dasa only she is

pursuing for the Civil Services exam.

In Rasi Pi is 4th house and its lord Jup is retro and placed in 8th house. This

Jup is aspecting 6th and 11th lord Venus placed in 12th house and also

aspecting 2nd house (GL is placed here ) and its own house Pi too. Paaka rasi

is Cn and Bhoga rasi is Sc where SL is placed along with Venus who is 6th and

11th lord. As we have seen Jup (Paaka) is aspecting Sc (Bhoga) from Cn, so this

is a very good indication.

Now Pi-Pi would be the time when the native is going to take the exam, so the

analysis of Pi Maha dasa applies to Antar dasa too.

Here the Pi is 8th house and its Lord Jup is retro and placed in Cn with 12th

lord Moon, Dasamsa Lagna lord Sun. Pi is aspecting Venus and HL in Vi by Rasi

Drishti. Here Venus is no other than 3rd and 10th Lord. So that is a good

indication. Bhoga rasi is Sc where Ketu ( own sign ) with GL placed. Sc is

aspecting Cp with SL and Mer (2nd and 11th lord) and 9th house Ar and 12th

house Cn.

So Pi-Cp is the time the native is taking the exam and Cp and Pi's its Bhoga is

Pi again. Pi Paaka is in Cn (Jup) and this Jup aspects Cp by graha drishti

too. So wonderful link here and Cp is having SL and aspecting Cn with ( Moon,

Sun(Amk), Jup ) and Sc with GL. So this Antar dasa will deliver the good

results.

7) Now let us see the Sudasa point of view:-

Here the Ar Maha dasa is running. Ar is 5th house in Rasi chart. Ar lord Mars is

placed in lagna with HL and 10th Lord Sun who is also the AmK. Bhoga Rasi is Sc,

where 6th and 11th Lord Venus is placed along with SL. Sc is having Argala on

Lagna ( Sg ) and also Pi. Interestingly GL's Lord Sat is placed P.Phalguni

Nakshatra which is ruled by Venus and having argala on Sg and Pi. So here we

have a connection of GL,SL and HL. So the Ar-Pi Antar dasa is going to deliver

the results.

8) Now et us see the Transits:-

During the May/Jun 2005 time: Jup will be in Vi and Sat will be in Cn.

Sat will be aspecting Sc, Aq and Ta by Rasi Drishti and Sat will be aspecting

Vi, Cp and Ar by Graha Dristi, so this is not very good indications but we will

see how Jup will take care of this.

During that time, Jup will be in Vi and aspecting Vi, Sg, Pi and Ge by Rasi

Drishti and aspecting Cp, Pi and Ta by graha dristi planets in it.Transit Rahu

is in Pi with Mars and aspecting Transit Sat in Cn, so by all these I will

still think the results will prevail as I have discussed above.

9) Now let us take a quick look at the Annual T.P Chart for the native:-

In this Annual TP Chart,: Lagna is Pi and its lord Jup is placed in 7th house

and aspecting lagna. Here you will notice that Moon the 5th lord is placed in

Lagna with GL and aspecting by HL in Ge and 10th Lord Jup in Vi. Sun the 6th

lord is placed in 10th house and 10th Lord Jup is aspecting 10th house and 6th

Lord from Vi too. A very good combination for success and in exam's and Job

too.

Hora Lord is Merc and who is 4th and 7th lord placed in 9th house along with

Venus ( 3rd and 8th Lord) and Mars (2nd and 9th Lord). That is a very good

indication.

Vaara Lord is Moon and who is 5th lord and placed in Lagna with GL and being

aspected by HL and 10th lord Jup and 6th Lord Sun.

Lagna is Pi and it is in 4th house from the Natal Lagna too. So this year is

promising what we have discussed before.

Now let us see quickly, the Tithi Ashtottari Dasa of Janma tithi (useful

especially in Tithi Pravesha charts):

Here we can see the Jup Maha dasa will be running during the exam and Jup will

deliver the results as we have discussed above.

I am sorry for such a long analysis, but I thought of doing a detailed analysis

to see the area of the life from different methods and perspectives.

Summary: In my opinion, the native will be successful in this Exam which she is

planning to take in Mid 2005.

Having said that, I will now handover my analysis to Guru's and Learned Members

to verify my thoughts and analysis and correct me if I am wrong.

Dear Raghunadha Rao Namaste

 

Few points from my side. The lagna lord is placed in 8th house in

rashi chart although exalted but is in shatru rashi and in 12th in

navmansha.So should we not consider lagnalord as weak? The 10th lord

is Me not good for admistrative work and is placed in lagna as

badhakesh. Me is with its shatru Mars in lagna. In navmansha as well

it is aspected by MArs.

The lord of service (6th lord) is in 12th. Should it not give

earning in the distant land? The dhanadhipati is in statru rashi in

rashi chart and exalted in 12th house in navmansha. Should it not

give earning in distant land? Moroeover moon being in 5th house may

give unstable mind. Will this be good for clearing the IAS exam?

 

The 4th lord as Vidyadhipati is illplaced and A4 is in 12th. Should

this be good for IAS?

 

In the T.P chart the hora lord is Me and is placed with its shatru

Mars. Vara lord is Moon and placed in lagna. Will this be good for

IAS? The TAD will be of Ju which is kala lord. will it give good

results for this TP?

 

The narayana dasa of Pi is operating and pakka rasi is Cn and Bhoga

is Sc. The pakka rasi is 8th from the lagna which is not good but

bhoga is in kendra from Al which is good. But will it be good to

have a bhoga rashi in kendra for clearing a exam like IAS? The dasa

rashi is aspected by mars by graha dristi and by rashi dristi by

Su,Me and Mars as well. So melefic aspecting dasa rashi. Will it

yeild good results?

 

 

 

So if the person is not from reservation quota will he/she be able

to get through exam like IAS?

It was interesting to see the analysis.Pls find my views.

Though mercury is a badhaka and a kendradhipati - it is forming the

most powerful among raja yogas by associating with 9th lord sun.This

is forming in Lagna.Also another trinal lord Mars is present

there.All these give rise to numerous pairs of raja yogas as per

parashara.Thus each planet in lagna is capable of producing powerful

raja yogas.Gaja kesari is another good one except for placement of

jupiter in 8th.

Lagna lord is exalted but in 8th which is also the 4th lord.From moon

4th house has exalted jupiter.This shows movement away from home.11th

lord Venus is in 12th.This shows possible income from abroad. Thus

will the individual shine at home or abroad?Also 4th lord in 8th

though exlated may show ups and downs in education.

5th lord in lagna shows speculative tendencies.2nd lord in 9th with

rahu still shows risks and speculations in money matters.8th lord in

5th shows sudden decisions.From all these i may expect this

individual to rise in business.Also 10th lord in lagna shows

institution buiding or individuals who strive to build their own

empire.

Also as you have mentioned mercury shows a bit too high thought

process :-) or in other words difficulty in taking decisions.Which is

good in business before any big investment is done.Admisnistrative

jobs needs quick decisions?

Sun as 9th lord for dhanu is excellent.But he is debilitated in

navamsha.(as a side note, Debilitated or exalted planets are better

for extra ordinary achievements than normally placed planets,because

a top batsman may be dismissed only thru an excellent delivery or a

very loose ball).Venus is defined as a malefic planet for

dhanus ,thus his antara can give success or not has to be closely

analysed.But as 6th lord being in 12th vipareeta effects and

competitive success may be possible.Venus being in the amsha of dasha

lord sun may also be noted.

Moon is subjected to Kemadruma yoga,showing uneven course in

life.Swakshethra in navamsha will help though.My knowledge is limited

to give a prediction.

Dear Raghu,Pradeep and Prabodhji,

 

I'm following this thread and really thanks to all of you to share your views!!

Regarding Transits , I want to add few points:-

 

Regarding transit, it's kantak Shani from Sun,moon,lagna!(Atma,mind,Body) From

AL, Jup is in 8th!! Can it give grand success in life?(IAS selection is real

grand success, I think so!)

 

In D10 moon is in Leo and in Cn there is Sun+(Jup) ! So in D10 also there is

kind of saadesati effect (mind regarding Karma) and Sat transit over Sun who is

lagnesh in D10!! Hindrances, disappointments and worries.

 

In D24 Sat is aspecting Lagna with mars in it!! and transit 4th H.Not good for

examinations.Also in Rasi chart 4th H will be afflicted by Nodes and Rahu will

aspect 4th Lord Jup in natal!!

 

And regarding Sudarshan Chakra, at time of examination we 'll see native is

running 27th yr and progressing Lagna we get Aq as lagna (Sun conjunct with

Lagna hence out of 3, 2 is having common ref) and find 4th H will be Ta and is

aspected by Sat again who is in 7th with rahu! But same time yogakarka ven will

be in 10th and shows good indications and from this ref Jup will be in 8th

again(transit) but Sat in 6th(transit) may give little advancement and nodes

transiting 2-8 axis and Rahu's aspect on 10th H with Ven is not good again.So

here also I can't see grand success!

 

Regarding Dasa, for vimshottari I think Lagan is stronger with Ak and more

planets in kendra over moon !! And Native is running Rahu's dasa and more to

this Dasa chidra (Rahu-Rahu) is running.(I take data as itis and not done BTR)

Yogini running wil be of moon who is 8thL in 5th H of Reputation, Honour etc.

and even though Luminaries are not having Ashtamesh Dosha it's not supposrting

atleast.

 

Regarding Narayan Dasa, I think there is bandhan yoga from Pi(Dasa Rasi) and

unfortunately AD will also be of Pi!!

Ketu and moon in 12th and 2nd from Pi. and being Ketu is part of this may give

unimaginable events, get cheated, mental aberrations,etc. Also AL is in 12th to

Pi. And other points are well explained by Raghu and Prabodhji and I'm beginer

in this area! Pls rectify if I 'm wrong any where.

 

Other very good points of mer, 10thL and badhaka , and sun in bhang yoga due to

neech navmamsa and Kemdrun yoga (moon for sustaining the yogas) all are

mention!! So no need to write it again.

Dear Rao & amol jiIt was interesting to see the analysis.Pls find my

views.Though mercury is a badhaka and a kendradhipati - it is forming the most

powerful among raja yogas by associating with 9th lord sun.This is forming in

Lagna.Also another trinal lord Mars is present there.All these give rise to

numerous pairs of raja yogas as per parashara.Thus each planet in lagna is

capable of producing powerful raja yogas.Gaja kesari is another good one except

for placement of jupiter in 8th.Lagna lord is exalted but in 8th which is also

the 4th lord.From moon 4th house has exalted jupiter.This shows movement away

from home.11th lord Venus is in 12th.This shows possible income from abroad.

Thus will the individual shine at home or abroad?Also 4th lord in 8th though

exlated may show ups and downs in education.5th lord in lagna shows speculative

tendencies.2nd lord in 9th with rahu still shows risks and speculations in money

matters.8th lord in 5th shows sudden decisions.From all these i may expect this

individual to rise in business.Also 10th lord in lagna shows institution

buiding or individuals who strive to build their own empire.Also as you have

mentioned mercury shows a bit too high thought process :-) or in other words

difficulty in taking decisions.Which is good in business before any big

investment is done.Admisnistrative jobs needs quick decisions?Dasha

analysis.SU/VESun as 9th lord for dhanu is excellent.But he is debilitated in

navamsha.(as a side note, Debilitated or exalted planets are better for extra

as a malefic planet for dhanus ,thus his antara can give success or not has to

be closely analysed.But as 6th lord being in 12th vipareeta effects and

competitive success may be possible.Venus being in the amsha of dasha lord sun

may also be noted.Moon is subjected to Kemadruma yoga,showing uneven course in

life.Swakshethra in navamsha will help though.My knowledge is limited to give a

Namaste to all gurus and shishyas

 

I am preparing for civil services exams and just want to know

whether the time is conducive to take the exam. I am trying my best

to prepare butmy concentration is not at all satisfactory

and am not confident enough to take the exam. can anyone please

take a look at my chart and tell me whether I will get through the

exams and whether if I will ever get through them. I will be very

thankful for your responses.
