Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Namaste Narasimha ji, I also wondered about this dictum quite often, because in my chart the AK (Mars) sits in the 9th from AL and I was trying to reconcile AK's basic function of leading the native to moksha with the above. But, I did go through Mars Mahadasa and while it was terrible emotionally and careerwise, my status, reputation and image improved a great deal. Infact, I did try quitting my job, during this period, but it was precisely my reputation that ensured that I didn't / couldn't do that. So, perhaps the planet in 9th from AL really does protect it!! Guest guest
Jaya Jagannath, Dear Laksmi and Narasimha, Would you mind If I jump here ? I don't know up to what level the rule can extended for D chart. But, in generally 9th house AL or dasa from dasa rasi is protecting the image, as per my understanding. For example, Laksmi, Mars' Vimsottari dasa has nothing to do with your improvements on said period. As AK he has done his job and you suffered. The protector was not Mars, but Jupiter the lagna lord. He was the 9th lord from dasa rasi Cancer. He is in lagna with lord of the GL and has suka argala on AL. Guru is DK and don't you think Ramesh had a role here ? I give you another example. I am running Dhanu and 9th from it is Leo, unoccupied. As soon as the dasa start, I went to Shiva temple and dreamed eating a snake. Lucky, Sanjay was in Singapore, had discuss with him and he said it was a good sign. In fact, after that I started to drink poison of ignorance (Became a Guru). The most important point was, I started to read Shiva Purana, found a Rudrakshara Mala and lot of Shiva related work. Would you kindly check, what was the role of Guru, in your Mars dasa ? Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah Dear Karu, That's a good point you made about 9th from dasa rasi and it gives a new slant to my AK dasa and your experiences made interesting reading. I have to work it out myself. I do agree that it's Guru's placement in lagna that enables me to tide over unsavoury experiences in life. But coming to Mars dasa, Mars is in 6/8 position from Guru, the lagna lord, apart from being AK, and is doubly empowered to trouble me. Talking about Ramesh, he was and is always very supportive, and my dependence on him is total, but my reputation had nothing to do with him, while it had everything to do with the way I did my job. Perhaps it is because the dispositor of AK is posited in the AL, which is the 10H in my chart. Infact, during that phase, it was others' continued animosity to my love marriage with Ramesh that caused so much emotional disturbance, but thank god, both of us stuck it out together, and grew closer because of that experience. one happy thing that happened during that period was that Ramesh went on a Rotary cultural exchange trip to London, US and Brazil for nearly 4 months, so I was alone with my elder son (then 4 yrs old) at that extremely critical time. But God's grace, my colleagues' good will and the support of the entire village never made me feel lonely. seems that Jupiter+Moon were certainly at work, so perhaps you are right! Guest guest
Jaya Jagannath Dear Lakshmi, True. But the fact is Jupier is the 9th lord, the protecter of Cancer. Not Mars. As the lagna lord he will protect your health and drive anyway. I have to study the point you have given. Yes he is in 6th from Dasa rasi. Please study the other one as well and share your understanding. Guest guest
Jaya Jagannath Dear Lakshmi, In fact, I missed some thing. What the sloka says is, even a upagraha in the 9th from AL, able to protect the native. So, 9th from AL or dasa rasi must be occupied by a graha to protect the AL or Dasa rasi. In your case, 9th is empty. Even mine, Leo is empty. How ever we need some work to find out the roll of the 9th lord. It is separate issue. Hope you got it. Guest guest
Hi respected members, I have a question related to this topic. Since the discussion going on I want to ask you clarify something. As you said 9th from AL should protect the native. I have 4 planets in 9th house from AL Rasi chart has: Asc: Aries; Moon, mars, mercury, ketu: leo; Sun:virgo; Jupiter, Venus: Libra AK: saturn ; Karakamsa: Saggitarius; AL: Saggitarius I want to ask you following question as I am running Moon mahadasa; I really can say I have no peace and I feel being really grounded in life w.r.t love and attachments. But I am trying to turn more spiritual. will I be more wise in future or I iwll be continuosly disappointed. What will be signification of this placement w.r.t spiritual and materialistic progress?? Guest guest
Satyam Bruyat Priyam Bruyat Dear nchandala, I think planets in 9th from AL will protect AL and may not have impact on 7H affairs. Your Moon is afflicted by Ketu and Mars. Moon dasa is therefore difficult. Also Moon controls mind leading to your statement, "I have no peace". I know of astrologers recommending pearl in such cases. However please seek advise from gurus and knowledgeable members. Saturn as AK indicates high level of spiritual development. Venus's placement in 7H is not considered very good for relationships but fortunately it is in own house. Jupiter's placement in 7H is good but it is placed in inimical sign with shukracharya who is not very friendly. Since Ketu is in 5H, Rahu should be in 11H from where it would aspect 7H. Saturn's placement in D1 is not clear (karkamsa is AK's placement in D9). Regards Ramesh nchadala [nchadala] Monday, July 26, 2004 9:09 PM vedic astrology [vedic astrology] Re: Planet in 9th from AL (arudha lagna) Hi respected members, I have a question related to this topic. I am very sorry If I interrupted your discussion. Thanks --nchadala vedic astrology, "Karu" <heen@n...> wrote: > Jaya Jagannath > Dear Lakshmi, > In fact, I missed some thing. Guest guest
Hi, I am really Thankful for your reply and analysis. My Rasi Chart has Saturn in Aries (debilitated) and is retrograde. WIll it give me more detached nature by the end of moon dasa. I am wearing Pearl as soon as I started Moon. Guest guest
Satyam Bruyat Priyam Bruyat Dear nchadala, I realized I had misspelled your name last time. I am sorry about that. Yes I think deb AK will make the native more spiritually inclined. I am not sure if it has any link with Moon MD. I think Debilitation gets cancelled and also gives Neechabhanga Raja Yoga. Planets involved in cancellation are Mars and Venus. So their dasas should bring beneficial results for the houses owned by Saturn 10 and 11. BTW Saturn in 1st house is in MKS (marna karka sthana) which makes it more malefic if the native is born during the day, not so bad for night births. Saturn in 1H is known to give keen thinking abilities. However it may have given some health issues in childhood. Saturn from Aries will aspect 7H and 7L direct and may delay marriage. It also aspects 3H of younger co-born and 10H which in your case is its own house. Aspecting own house is usually good for the significations of that house. Best Regards Ramesh nchadala [nchadala] Tuesday, July 27, 2004 7:27 PM vedic astrology [vedic astrology] Re: Planet in 9th from AL (arudha lagna) Hi, I am really Thankful for your reply and analysis. My Rasi Chart has Saturn in Aries (debilitated) and is retrograde. WIll it give me more detached nature by the end of moon dasa. I am wearing Pearl as soon as I started Moon. Guest guest
Hi learned member, Thats ok if you have misspelled my name. I am very thankful for the analysis. As you said I do not have any problem with my career. As such it is the only thing which is not giving any trouble for me and giving me peace. My venus Dasa was also very good. I had a very good premier education. The only unexpected problem is my marraige. As per my previous view I was thinking Jupiter and Venus both benefics functional as well as natural should give good results in 7H. And saturn is friend of Venus too. I was thinking why two beneficsin 7H are giving such results. As such you may be right. saturn's aspect on 7H , 7th lord and karaka may be the reason. So you think Mars will be Yogakaraka for me w.r.t carreer or family life? Again really thanks for your time and space. --nchadala vedic astrology, "Ramesh Gangaramani" <ramesh.gangaramani@a...> wrote: > Satyam Bruyat Priyam Bruyat > > Dear nchadala, > > I realized I had misspelled your name last time. Guest guest
Satyam Bruyat Priyam Bruyat Dear nchadala, This is going a bit beyond your original question related to marriage but let me try. Though Mars is lagna lord for Aries ascendant, I do not think it is termed as YK(yogakarka) by virtue of its lordships. This is because it is also the lord oh malefic 8H. I am reproducing a BPHS translation that I have. "19-22. Grahas and Mesh Lagn. O Brahmin, listen to these with examples. Even though Mangal is the Lord of Randhr Bhava, he will be helpful to auspicious Grahas. ?ani, Budh and ?ukr are malefics. Auspicious are Guru and S?rya. The mere Yuti of ?ani with Guru will not produce auspicious effects (although they own a Kon and a Kendr). If Guru is at the disposal of a malefic, he will surely give inauspicious results. ?ukr is a direct (independent) killer. ?ani etc. will also inflict death, if associated with an adverse Grah (?ukr)." Mars will have impact on the houses owned by it, house of placement, houses it aspects and houses it has aragala on. I do not see a direct link with 10H of career! Being placed in 5H however, it does have aragala on 4H. Please do remember the natural malefic qualities of Mars, its good qualities on account of being Lagna Lord and qualities by virtue of being 8L. Functional nature (on account of being lordships) would show the effect during Mars dasa. Natural qualities would largely govern the impact due to aspects and aragala. You also need to check Mars involvement in Yogas. I think its(1L) conjunction with 4L will form a Raja Yoga. Its (8L) conjunction with Mercury (6L) will form VRY. You can check other combinations. Best Regards Ramesh nchadala [nchadala] Thursday, July 29, 2004 7:18 PM vedic astrology [vedic astrology] Re: Planet in 9th from AL (arudha lagna) Hi learned member, Thats ok if you have misspelled my name.
