Fixed sign as dasamsa lagna(Like ShankaraCharya) and ketu in arthatrikona. IF i remember, it was not mentioned specifically, but is inferred from the article. There were lot of charts discussed, one point was ketu in Capricorn Dasamsa, that was also your point. SO i hope the confused caused is cleared. Thus 2nd, 5th, 8th and 11th consist of the later part of the present life, it is applicable in rasi and d-10. WHen i look at random charts, i tell or rather ask the person whether his first job, or initial part of the career had anything to do with what the "6th" house signified. The Dharma trikona tells the dharma one need to follow where as the artha trikona determines ones lively hood. 2nd house is the house of sustainence and the trines to it and planets there in helps the growth of the same. See 2nd house is the resource you have. the 5th from it is 6th house which will determinr the efforts you need to put in to survive and the fifth from 6th is 10th, which is the Karma sthana or the gains of your efforts from 6th. If you look at the charts of these great saints, it was their lively hood. Not only they followed it but also helped and guided others. As far as moksha trikona is concerned it is what you would like to give away willingly. you see the 4th house is the house of sukha, properties.. in order to give that away easily you will be over come with lot of obstacles as denoted by 8th house to attain the gains which is Moksha denoted by 12th house. I would appreciate if Gurus can enlighten more. You also talked about the Dharma and Moksha trikonas, that I asked about. How about the Kaama trikona? Will the 3rd house similarly show the existing desires, the 7th what you do to achieve those desires and 11th the gains thereof? This divisional chart shows us what we can do, or would do rather to attain the Swarga. The dieties of the Dasamsa as explained by Narasimha earlier are Indra East Agni Southeast Yama South RakshasaSouthwest Varuna West Vayu Northwest Kubera North Isana Northeast Brahma Down Ananta Up Now the dasamsa shows the key to the karma of a person. Artha and earth are from the same root, latin and sankrit notwithstanding. So when we talk about earth, we talk about the work that has to be done. The work that paves the way to Moksha or final emancipation. Thus the planets in the various dasamsas, show what karma we have to undergo! The three goals/ayanas of Dharma, artha, kama are ultimately for only one goal that is of Moksha. A soul has to undergo all these by choice and the boundaries of karma before it realises its true self. SO when we talk about artha, we are talking about the Mool(The root), the Cause, isn't that the foundation of all Shankara's Philosophies. Excuse me, i am not starting a thread on shankara or any philosophy, but just trying to point out that all the great gurus, the monists, the dualists, actually tried to understand the Moola, the Cause, whether there was any cause or not for any effect to be produced. Curious readers may go through Advaitam, Vishista Advaitam, and Dvaitam for understanding the same, Now coming back, we see saints have Ketu in arthatrikona in dasamsa. Which shows that they were "working" towards Moksha. WIthout action there is no reaction, they were all trying to understand action. According to some rare classifed teachings, thought itself is action, and not the act itself. Otherwise, how could you explain injury to a person, when many people became "jealous" of him recieving an award, or getting married probably. Rama , you can appreciate this as you know in our marriages, the groom wears a "disthi chukka" or a small black til on his cheek, to avoid spurios "thoughts", which are nothing but actions. Once Guru Sanjay said, all the arudhas are similar to thoughts which are the manifestation of Karma. When we talk about moksha trikona, we should go for appropriate divisional charts such as d-20, and d-60. The root for these divisional cahrts are the 8th house and the 12th house. 10th house is the root for the dasamsa chart, so work, prestige, or things associated with the same are to be seen in this chart. Yes, I can see how the saints are "working" towards Moksha and this shows in their 10th. And the point about "building" is a great one too, I clearly see the logic now. I'm afraid I missed the point regarding the dieties. How do these play into the rest of your posting? However, I still dont completely understand. Here is what I understand in my own words, so either of you can clarify: I think what you say is that the dasamsa is where we understand the karma of a person from, correct? Why do you restrict yourself to the arthatrikona of the dasamsa? Do you mean that Saints who do not have ketu in their arthatrikona are not "working" towards Moksha? Krishna had Ketu in the 7th - Kamatrikona. Jesus Christ had Ketu in the 5th - Dharmatrikona. Guru Nanak Dev had Ketu in the 10th - ok, arthatrikona. Sai Baba of Shirdi had Ketu in the 11th - kamatrikona. Were all of these not "working" towards moksha? Or is your point that EITHER Ketu be in the natural 10th (Capricorn) in any of the dharma,artha,kama,moksha trikonas or alternatively be in the arthatrikona? And if your answer to this is yes, then does this apply to other grahas as well - I mean Ketu is the Karyesha for Moksha, so we see Ketu's position in dasamsa to examine work towards Moksha. Similarly, Mars, Venus, Jupiter are also karyesha's for something or the other. Do we see their position in the relevant varga and relevant trikona in the varga to see the progress in that area? Please give examples if you agree, reasoning if you dont. It is not that Krishna did not spread the message, infact he was the one who gave us the right direction. Now ketu in 7th would mean that he is talking about the road to "HIM" 7th house is dwara or the gateway of a soul. SO his "focus" was on the gateway, the road to emancipation. Jesus Christ had Ketu in fifth, so it means he was talking about the universal love, love and mercy, the power of mantra as signified by fifth house. But if you take the cases of saints actively pursuing as a profession, as a karma as a work, then you can notice that ketu is in arthatrikonas. It is not that other great saints were not working for it, probably they are already liberated?!!
