Please consider assumptions when making an analysis of a chart. I used one technique, as elaborated by Pt. Sanjay Rath at the Boston, USA Conference last year. I would like to add some more to this so as not to confuse anyone. 1) Validity What makes a "dream" valid? As in – does it carry a message for the awoken body, or is it some temporary stress as Prakash was suggesting? This is seen by the general environment pertaining to the native. For example, If Amit worked WITH snakes on a daily basis, I would dismiss this dream having meaning. Again, very few details were provided, and all of us have made some assumptions or the other. In another example, let us assume someone views that they are giving a presentation to prospective clients, and the meeting goes fantastic. Is this a valid dream? To answer this, consider whether the person has such an environment coming shortly. If so, it is more than likely, it is merely the mind enacting some possibilities, and not carrying a deeper message. The viewing of snakes, is not common in everyday life, according to me, to most human beings. HENCE, there is something that Amit has got we can all consider. 2) Occurrence Is this a repeated dream? How long has it been happening? Is this a random occurrence? All have a different meaning. Recurring themes can reveal themselves In the Rashi as well as the Shastyamsa (D60) of past Karma / Dharma. With Prakash, I would put Ketu in the 12th as per the Swapna chart, and examine Ketu's influence in his Rashi as well. Prakash, look for Ketu's imagery on a Cobra. Recurring themes have a much deeper meaning. Most of us have it. 3) Time What time of the day did the dream occur? Was it during a nap in the day? Was it during a nap in the evening? Was it after an evening's sleep? Did the person awake on seeing the dream, and go back to sleep, or carried on in an awakened state? These can further be considered for dream analysis. So, please consider some of the above. Again, there have been several assumptions taken, and I caution anyone to make general statements. Hopefully Amit can write more, if still motivated as this topic has seemingly taken quite an interest. Take care. Best wishes and light, Nitin. || Namah Shivaaya || Amit; I really don't think you should lose your sleep over seeing snakes in your dreams. Extrapolating Nitins observations, It just means that you are currently worried about strained relations and paranoid about the world short-changing you. These usually are the Transit effects of planets and will not last long. I see snakes( For some reason, they are always cobras ;-) ) quite frequently. But they never seem to bite me. Guest guest
Nitin, Jai and other friends, A few details here. 1. I have Sarpa Dosha in Rasi ( Rahu in the 4'th and Ketu in the 10'th for Leo Rising). Ketu is in the 9'th house in D-60 (Gemini Asc) 2. The appearences are utterly random. 3. All dreams have one consistent theme(which IMHO would be the norm for all snake dreamers) - The feeling that there is a snake on the prowl - The possibility of getting bitten - Spotting of the snake - The snake either slithers away or gets killed. - The snake never tries to hit back. Most of the times, it is a cobra, and ocassionally a King Cobra. I am assuming that this reptile typically signifies either strained relationships with people who you interact with on a regular basis or serving of advance notice of someone plotting/scheming behind your back.
