Other factors taken in to consideration are good.Look at ketu pratyantar for time of good progress. May have a bit of difficult when Saturn is on the verge of moving to 8th but change of Job/ responsibilities could occur during this transit as Jupiter shifts to Virgo. Chandrashekhar. The debilitation being in the 4th from Lag can be viewed as neechabhanga (?), but I tend to go the other way, and Me's in bhojanavasta. For Sg Lag though only Ve is malefic, Me in the present case cant do `much' good. Therefore the slow progress in career is because of the current Dasa also. Maharshi Parasara has given remedies for all adverse periods, in Me MD, especially recitation / listening to Vishnu Sahasranamam would repair everything. Other remedies for antar dashas also given by Maharshi hence they can also be done for adverse ADs. As the words of Maharshi CAN NEVER GO WRONG, the native can be positive :- ) And, sadesathi could be one reason for the fear of job loss(it's running for five years!) coupled with other transits therefore remedies required for sadesathi also.This is how I look on this matter. I shall be grateful if you can have a look at the same and guide me further. Background: “I am working in USA as hardware / systems engineer. I came to US in Sep 1996, and joined this job in Dec 1998. I have been pretty stagnant in this company for last 5 years. No Career growth in terms of promotion. When can I expect growth and position that matches my education and experience. I think I am about 5 years behind in terms of career progress and this is quite upsetting to me. And now my company is on the verge of being sold out, and I am not sure what that would mean for me.” Birth Details: DOB: March 13, 1965 Time : 1.45 AM Place : Mayuram, Tamilnadu Latitude: 79 deg 42 min E Longitude: 10 deg 54 min N Steps that I followed: Check lagna, examine strengths of various planets in D1 and D9. Check for yogas governing the chart. Check 10H, 10L for career, LL placement, 4H and 12H for foreign residence. Check LL, 10H, 10L and artha trikona in D10. Look for causes of current obstacles and suggest remedies if possible. Planets: Benefics and Malefics: For Saggi Lagna, Sun, Mars and Jupiter are functional benefics. Venus and Saturn are malefic. Saturn is also a Marka. Mercury too is a functional malefic being lord of 2 kendra. Exaltation, Debilitation, Own, MTK house in D1/D9: 10L Mercury is debilitated (close to deep debilitation point) and is badhakesh. Debilitation may be cancelled as lord of sign opposite to the sign of debilitation, which is Mercury, itself is placed in the Kendra. Saturn 2L and 3L is in its MTK sign and is vargotama. Rahu and Ketu are exalted in D1. Moon is exalted in D9, Jupiter and Saturn are in their own MTK signs. Exaltation, Debilitation, Own, MTK house in D10:. Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are debilitated in D10 and are placed in 6, 10 and 12th houses. Mercury’s debilitation is cancelled because its despositor is placed in a Kendra.
