Guest guest Posted May 5, 2004 Report Share Posted May 5, 2004 what is the nakastra that raman used?.. for each nakastra he say it occupies 13' 20".. ie each is fixed and then the padas etc come into play... but other authors only have the first sign occupying 13'20" fixed... the others all then occupy differnt amounts. In raman books he say that they are fixed all at 13' 20".... is he just neing "easy on the public this way" by not going into details???? There are totally 27 Nakshatras spread over 360 degrees. This means that each nakshatra occupies 360/27 = 13.33333 degrees. 13.33333 degrees = 13deg 20 minutes. Hence the first Nakshatra (Ashwini) is between 0 deg and 13 deg 20 mns. The next nashatra (Bharani) starts at 13 deg 20 mns and end at 26 deg 40 mns and so on. Hope this helps you.
