what is the nakastra that raman used?.. for each nakastra he say it occupies

13' 20".. ie each is fixed and then the padas etc come into play... but other

authors only have the first sign occupying 13'20" fixed... the others all

then occupy differnt amounts.

In raman books he say that they are fixed all at 13' 20".... is he just neing

"easy on the public this way" by not going into details????

Dear Mr. Peter,

I have not understood

your question properly. However, the following might help.

There are totally 27

Nakshatras spread over 360 degrees. This means that each nakshatra occupies

360/27 = 13.33333 degrees.

13.33333 degrees =

13deg 20 minutes. Hence the first Nakshatra (Ashwini) is between 0 deg and 13

deg 20 mns. The next nashatra (Bharani) starts at 13 deg 20 mns and end at 26

deg 40 mns and so on.

Hope this helps you.

If you are able to mention the book and page number, I could perhaps give you

more information.
