Akshaya Triteeya falls on Vaishakha Month Shukla Paksha 3rd Tithi.On this day

Lord Parashuram was born ie., Parashuram Jayanti also will be celebrated on

this auspicious day.On this day,performing of Ganga Snan or having bath in

Ganga River or any other Holy rivers is considered very auspicious.By applying

Shri Gandha or sandalwood paste to idol of Shri Vishnu/Krishna etc., all the

sins will be nullified and we will get the nearness of GOD after death.On this

day any Jap,Havan/Homam,Pitru Tarpana,any donations/Daan etc.will bestow very

good results and will Vriddhi or increase our spiritual and material

wealth.Taking bath in the sea is very good on this day.

So on this day worship Lord Parashuram and then Arghya has to be given with the following Mantra :

JAMADAGNISUTO VEERA KSHATRIYAANTAKARA PRABHO.

GRUHAANAARGHYAM MAYAA DATTAM KRUPAYAA PARAMESHWARA.

22nd april is akshaya tritiya. it is said whatever is done /started on this tithi, never perishes.
