confusion on different practices of ayanamsa

Hallow Everybody! Pranam to Gurujis!

Just now I became member of this egroup. By profession I am an engineer. I found

astrology interesting and reading books etc since more than a year. It's

wonderful to see that so many people are actively participating in this group. I

have following question -

 

While casting horoscope, should we cast it with Lahiri's Ayanamsa or Dr. B V

Raman's? I am very confused on this. Have any of you got statistical proving on

this?

 

In my own horoscope lagna is tula. Lagnapati Sukra is in 11th house according to

Lahiri's, and 12th according to Raman's.

 

In my wife's horoscope lagna is makara as per Lahiri's, and Kumbha as per

Raman's.

 

Can anyone enlighten me?
