Guest guest
Dear Members I need some clarification on the question of Ayanamsha. The nirayana system is based only on the ayanamsha, and the Vimshottari dasha is based on the nirayana longitude of the Moon. The Mahadasha (main period) of Rahu, Jupiter, Saturn, Mercury or Venus is longer, so a difference of even one degree in the ayanamsha can make a difference in the Mahadasha by one and a half years or so. This happens when using different systems of ayanmsha. Of course which is the correct system has been a debatable issue. However, we use aynamsha when determining the longitude of the Lagna only but not when calculating the longitudes of the planets which are calculated on the basis of their individual position at a particular time and rectifying to the exact position at the time of birth by the particular planet's speed. Is this statement correct? Then how do we rectify for the ayanamsha ? Generally the Indian Panchangs give the ayanamsha value as a standard 23:30:00 for fixed interval lagnas and then a rectification nneds to be carried out to arrive at the exact value through adding or subtracting the difference of that particular day's ayanamsha value. My question is do we carry out the same rectification for the planets' longitudes also? Or am I missing a point here? I hope somebody will clarify this confusion for me.
