Guest guest
Dear Rama Narayananji, Thanks so much for once again re-clarifying the subtleness and importance of mantra shashtra and giving wonderful logic to explain it out. Pls accept my humble praise. With Blessings of the Divine Mother Sunil John - rama narayanan Sunil John ; Vedic Astrology Thursday, March 11, 2004 8:28 AM Re: [vedic astrology] Beej Mantra to Ramanaryanji SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAM AUM GURUBYO NAMAH Dear Sunil, i have stated in my earlier mail that the mantras are simple. By that i mean one need not worry about any complications whatsoever. These mantras can be chanted by anybody. What you need to know is only the devatha concerned. Having done that you can easily pick out the mantras. All the 51 aksharas(aksharas mean that which cannot be destroyed /immortal)/syllables(AUM included) in Sanskrit are called as Sakthi peetams/energy centres. Each sabda has a definite energy. Beeja aksharas are nothing but unison of two or three more energies(to say in a very crude manner). If we want to energise all the sakthi peetams in us there is a traditional way of doing it. Take each akshara of Sanskrit and add Nama Sivaaya to it then the entire sakthi peetam/system is energised. Just to demonstrate: AM NAMA SIVAAYA AAM NAMA SIVAAYA IM NAMA SIVAAYA EEM NAMA SIVAAYA and so on. When you complete 51 the entire Sakthi peetam in us is energised. Matha Saraswathi has a Maala/rosary in her hands which has 51 beads. This maala is called as Aksha Maala. On seeing this what we directly understand is that, inorder to gain knowledge one has to seek Guru(Lord Siva) with all that he has provided(51 aksharas). The lord is ever merciful. What he does? He hands over the keys(beeja aksharas) to us. Sabda is an amsa of Mana. Each Nakshatra(lunar mansion) has 4 charanas/padas. Each pada has a definite sabda. Mana is sabda sagara(27 nakshaktras-27 multiplied 4 is 108 which in general is the number of beads in the rosary). Moon is Mind and is worn by Lord Siva as his ornament in his head. As Ganges is also located in the head of the Lord automatic cleansing is assured when you land up there in the akaasha through the mantra. "AUM NAMA SIVAAYA NAMO SOMANATHAYA". Where is this Moon exalted? It is exalted in Vrishabha. Where is the office of Moon situated? It is again in Vrishabha. What does this Vrishabha represent in the kaala purusha jataka? It is the 2nd house which signifies speech. The 2nd house is called as "vak" sthana. Which means japa. What is mantra? "Man" is mind and "trai" means to control. >From the above it is clear that energising the aksharas by "Nama Sivaaya" is the easiest way of gaining entry into the kingdom of Guru(Akaasha tatva). Let us bow down and place our heads in the feet of the Lord. AUM NAMA SIVAAYA NAMO GYANANANDAYA. SIVOHAM. Astrologically yours, p.s.ramanarayanan. Logic like this helps beginners like us remember it, if we have good memories Sir, coming to the mantras that you have given us, do we need to use the house and syllable technique for verification of the mantra or are these beej mantras exempt from this rule. I presume Sush had asked the same query. With the blessings of my Divine Mother Sunil John Dear Venkat,Viswanadham & Sunil, i give below the simple mantras for each planets. SUN - AUM NAMAH SIVAAYA MOON - AUM MATRE NAMAH MARS-AUM NAMO BHAGAVATE RUDRAYA BUDA-HARE RAMA KRISHNA / AUM VISHNAVE NAMAH GURU-AUM TAT SAT VENUS-AUM NAMO LAKSHMI NARAYANAYA SANI-AUM NAMO NARAYANAYA RAHU-AUM DURGAYAYAI NAMAH/AUM NAMO VENKATESAAYA KETU-AUM GANESHAAYA NAMAH We have the built in lock system where in we need not seek the help of the persons who reside inside to open the doors for us, provided you have the key. Such keys are beeja mantras. What shall i do if i do not have the key? i shall stand outside and call the inmates to open the doors for me isn't it? What is most important is the realisation to go within. Once that dawns the path is easy. Devotion is the simplest, easiest and surest way to open the door for us. "GAAYANTHAM TRAYATHE ITHI GAYATHRI". The stress is on singing. Let the ego/ahamkar melt in the devotion/unalloyed pure love for the lord. The lord will get up from his seat and open the door for us. The second house of kaala purusha is called as Vrishabha. Vrishabha is called as Nandi. It is said in Lalitha Sahasranama that mother dances to Nandi vidya. What is this Nandi Vidya? It is nothing but systematized sound. It is easier to transcend through devotion. The three most important beeja mantras are as follows: SHREEM(SHREE SAKTHI) - Beeja mantra to transcend SATVA GUNA HREEM(BHOO SAKTHI)- Beeha mantra to transcend RAJO GUNA KLEEM(NEELA SAKTHI)- Beeja mantra to transcend TAMO GUNA The above mentioned sakthis are called as the female principles. When these female principles unite with the male principles called as Purusha then the inner churning takes place and the Amrita flows out. To make this more clear:- How do we identify the ishta devatha? We take the 12th lord(tenant) isn't it? How do we identify the palana devatha? We take the 6th lord(tenant) isn't it? Now let us see who all have the office in the 6th and 12th houses of kala purusha. Rahu has his office in Kanya(6th house) and Ketu has his office in Meena(12th house). The serpent axis(vasuki) lies in the 6th and 12th. When the purusha and the sakthi unite the serpent is stimulated to churn the ocean.Once the ocean is churned the amrita surfaces. The whole idea is to identify the female and male principle and churn the ocean with the sole aim of bringing out the nectar and consuming it. Sing the glory of the lord with firm faith. If the faith is like the mountain kailash then the lord melts. AUM NAMAH SIVAAYA NAMO GYANANANDAYA. Best wishes.
