Dear Kasturi,

 

If you see the diagram of the Agna charka with all the beejas assigned

to different petals, you would find that the primary beeja for the agna

is AUM only with Ham and Ksham on the Two petals.

 

Hope this was a usesful info. I am attaching the image of the charkas

for reference.

Dear Sarbani

 

(This post partly contains contents of my email to you. However, I

have removed portions that I have considered "private" and "not for

the list". I have added a little more!)

 

One notable reference, among several, that I read on chakras was a

book "Kundalini Tantra" by Swami Satyananda Saraswati a disciple of

Swami Sivananda. All these books mentioned "Aum" as the bija for

agyna chakra. My interest was in the chakras and bijas and not

kundalini. However, Shannon Tracey and Dan Boggess in their "Chakra

Therapy" mention "Aum" as the bija for the Sahasrara and "Sham" as

the bija for Agnya chakra. Maybe there are different schools there.

Each might have a reason of their own. The Guru knows better. Maybe

we will hear more.

 

Yes. I have read all that you have said about the other chakras. I

have also read about the chakras getting 'blocked' leading to chaos.

But all these are not my focus!!

 

FOCUS:

 

The point I was trying to make, Sarbani, is the importance of a Guru

in the whole process of mantra-initiation and prescripton of

remedies. Exactly, as you say Sanjay always forbids you to meditate

on Mooladhara, but why? He is a Guru. He knows what his sishyas

should do and what they should not! That's the message.

 

I wanted to communicate that it is important to have knowledge and

respect for the mantras, knowledge on method of prescription of

mantras and remedies, Guru's initiation and importance of spiritual

depth! I wanted to bring in a sense of caution among members. One

might accumulate more sins giving incorrect remedies and mantras than

do good karma!

 

My interest is no more than astrology and to make a prayer that

members adopt the right method to correctly prescribe the right

mantras and remedies for those who need them.

 

I will leave this as food for thought for members.
