Guest guest
Hello Sri Siva, It is always good to hear a different view point. As I have told, this posing on Rahu is like something that comes automatically to me. I have written everything with may be divine guidence. If we take this world going in circles, you will find people AHEAD of you in opposite direction. It seems to you that they are going in opposite direction. But in fact all of us are going in same direction. So you are following others. BUT IT ALSO MEANS THAT PEOPLE ARE OR WILL BE FOLLOWING YOU. It is just a matter of time. I am a very average maths student. My relationship to Pi has been to find out the area of a circle using pi r square formula .This mention of Pi has come after may be 40 years.!! I would have loved to know your views about other things besides Pi that are written. May be after reading my research in this direction (Posting is being done tomorrow), you might understand my views. Rgds H Trivedi Siva Chinnasamy <schinnas > wrote: Dear Shri. Bhatt,I am afraid I would have to disagree there as well.Even Aryabhatta did not use 22/7. It is rather a morerecent approximation. Many Hindu astronomers and mathematicians used variouscomputation mechanisms, and Squareroot of 10 was oneof the most popular.Aryahatta gave this division (62832/2000) as anapproximation for pi, but used square root of 10 forpi in most of his works.Zu Chongzhi, a famous Chinese ancient mathematicianand contemporary of Aryabhatta used 355/113 to computethe value of pi.Regarding your statementment, about 22/7 indicatinginfinity, there are many such combinations forgenerating irrational numbers and all of them can betaken as signifying infinity. Nothing seems to beunique about 22/7.While playing with numbers, we can arbitrarily insertany number anywhere and assign a significance to it.However what it actually signifies is probably uptoour own beliefs.regards,Siva.--- vidyut bhatt wrote:> Hello Shiva,> Yes, I am aware of that but in ancient times, in> absence of sophisticated calculation devices, 22/7> was the easiest tool to explain Pi.> Thanks for the interst. > I aim to bring some more.> Vidyut> > > > > schinnas wrote:> Dear Shri.
