Hi Kumar,

 

Just saw this. I will try to respond to your

questions.

 

Yes, this girl has Kala Sarpa Yoga. However there is

no need to be unduly alarmed

 

about this. Alot of people have it, and here in

America, it usually manifests as

 

themes having to with obsession, compulsion, involving

the houses where the Nodes

 

fall. Here in the 2-8 axis, one possible issue could

be with the family, in some way -

 

perhaps there was a money issue when she was growing

up, perhaps poverty? In

 

any event, I see that security and material comforts

are or should be important

 

(Cancer Lagna, Lagnesh Moon in the 10th with exalted

Sun), as well as a

 

independent, firery streak (see previous comments in

paraentheses). In your

 

culture, this could be a problem if she indeed is this

way, as you still do the

 

arranged marriage thing over there, and she may not

want to do that. Anyway,

 

please let me know.

I thought this chart had a Gemini ascendant and your observations are

based on a Cancer lagna.

 

Iam seconding your comments on KSY. I just realized that the Late

Mrs. Indira Gandhi too had KSY, and she went on to become the Pime

Minister of India. So, no need to be unduly alarmed by the prescence

of KSY.

Dear Respected Gurus , MuMinBey,Sathiyanarayanguptaji,Rameshji,Imranji, and

other learned experts

 

I have heard different versions about KSY and KAY. I am pasting some of the

versions by some of the astrologers about KSY.It is not my intention to

disrespect

the opinions of these authors.

I find this esteemed group of learned

Gurus really excel in their analysis . It is highly interesting and

valuable to learners like me in understanding when does KSY really occur.

Is it only when all the planets lying between Rahu and Ketu are facing

Retro Rahu

and Rahu lies between 1st and 6th house? Is it really a dreaded combination?

I request the learned Gurus to throw some light .

Kalasarpa dosha: This is another highly feared combination. You will be

surprised to know that the ancient classics of astrology have not even

mentioned it! Yet it has become one of the most feared doshas, because Kal

means death and Sarpa means snake. When all planets are to one side of Rahu

and Ketu Kalasarpa Dosha is supposed to be caused. This is considered a very

bad yoga which gives rise to misfortunes and is supposed to be a major

obstruction to ones progress. This dosha is said to be severe when all

planets are within the arc from Rahu to Ketu in their natural motion

direction.

 

There are supposed to be 12 types of Kalasarpa doshas, based on the

placement of rahu from the lagna to the 12th house. These 12 have been named

after 12 fearful sounding snakes: Anant, Kulik, Vasuki, Shankhapal, Padma,

Mahapadma, Takshak, Karkataka, Shankhanaad, Patak, Vishakata and Sheshanag.

It is not known who cooked up this nonsense, but rest assured that it is

none of the Rishis from Parashara to Varahamihira. Obviously some new 20th

century "Rishis" of Delhi and U.P!!

 

The latest astro-stunt by the "Pundits" is the introduction of "partial

kalasarpa dosha". The basics parameters of this are undefined, so anyone may

have it!! A lot of unscrupulous astrologers are scaring people about this

dosha and extracting money for the so called remedies. The remedy of course

depends and varies according to the financial status of the innocent man!

 

>From practical point of view this is not found to be a hindrance to

progress. I have the horoscopes of a lot of people who have this so called

dosha and are doing quite well in life. One of the most notable exceptions

is the horoscope of Jawaharlal Nehru, the late prime minister of India. If

someone can rise to that level with kalasarpa yoga, then its not a bad one

About Kalasarpa Dosham

 

What is Kalasarpa dosha?

 

In any native's chart, the remaining seven houses are in the clutches of

Rahu and Ketu is called Kalasarpa dosha..

 

Savya Kala Sarpa Dosham:

DIFFERENT TYPES OF KALA SARPA YOGAMS

 

1.From lagna to seventh house the planets are
