You can educate yourself by going to this site www.vedic astrology.net

and reading the document Cancellation of Debilitation and Neechabhanga Raja Yogas

under 'yogas etc'.

Hello Jay

It is really very good article.

I just have few doubts...

1. Does Nakshtra play role in Cancellation of Debilitation and

Neechabhanga Raja Yogas?

e.g

1. Virgo Lagna Vennus in Lagna Debiltited..

Now If Jup is in Saggi which is lord of exaltation sign(pieces) of

Debiltited venus. also kendra to lagna so neechbhanga rajyoga But

while Jup is in saggi in nakshtra of Venus.. what would be effect

jup being in nakshtra of venus... ?

2. Leo ascendant with mars in lagna and Leo has one pada of nakshtra

of Sun. while Sun is in libra. So Now Lord of rashi where Sun is

exalted is Mars which is in lagna .. So neechbhanga rajyoga but what

are the effect when mars is in nakshtra of sun which debiltated?

2.Does Nodes play any role when planet causing neechbhanga is

asscoiated with nodes.. Say in example 1 Jup causing neechbhanga but

Jup is also associated with Rahu in saggi that to in nakshtra of

venus only?

3.Also what if Node are stationary direct and associating the planet

causing neechbhanga or neechbhanga rajyoga?

Kalyani

Based on what we've learned here, Jay's unswer is correct, and I also stick to that rule still.

However, also want to mention that in Nadi /I haven't explored enough to make any conclussion/

planets in some Naksatras 'behave as if they were exalted'- one example Mars in Swati..

Any comments?

Hello Jay , Anna and All members

Thank you Jay and Anna for reply.

1. Can you also give your comments regarding the situation when Rahu

is associated with planet causing neechbhanga/neech bhang rajyoga?

2. Also what of Such Rahu is Stationary direct...?

First of all Since rahu is associated with Planet causing

neechbhanga, does the planet will reduce some power to cause

neechbhanga ?

It has been said that when Rahu Ketu become stationary direct they

become very powerful. So if such powerful rahu is associating with

planet causing neechbhanga.. Will Power of planet causing

neechbhanga will it reduce?

I am glad if I helped. I wish I could answer your questions- but am afraid it's

impossible- and not serious to analyze /any/ situation out of context-

Rahu tends to take power/form/manifestations from the planet it conjoins, aspects, and

that also DEPENDS...on lots of factors- as in most cases when multiple variables

have to be taken into account- how would that affect this specific situation-

depends, again, on the entire chart.

Some opine that Rahu/Ketu are more powerful when Stationary direct/

retrograde... Most think its not relevant- since they are R most of the time.

I'd suggest that you stick to basic first- 'till you master it-

Dear Sarajit,

Thanks for this post. My understanding of Kalayani Q was that he was rightfully

concerned about the planet causing NBRY /due to its conj. with Rahu/-

Rahu does take power from planet it conjoins, as you illustrated by YK/with

Rahu/ planetary period-

however how that would manifest really depends on many factors- answer to

NBpower of a planet- original Kalayani question- is that it won't be reduced,

but taken over by Rahu- but that may not necessarily /badly/affect the planet

in question, otherwise.

And before seeing what else is in stake there in the chart, I didn't want to run

the risk of making new student worried, with as you said, final results,

manifestations.

Sarajit, I've seen full-blown sarpa yoga, involving Mars, Sa, Rahu, and Moon

even- and intervening factors /Ju, although Lord of 8th-functional malefic,

+Naksatras role/, which seem saving the situation,

and positive results in Rahu period /which squares Mars, Moon, Sa/.

And Yes, I tend to be more careful, than necessary, perhaps.

It's good for at least that reason that we hear more from you!

Warmest wishes,

Anna

Sarajit Poddar <sarajit (AT) (DOT) org> wrote:

|| Jaya Jagannath ||Dear Anna / Kalyani,

Whenever there is any conjunction, there is a exchange of roles of the planets

involved. This is most apparent in the case of Rahu/ Ketu as they give results

based on the associations etc. This is why, whenever, the nodes conjoin any

yogakaraka, the periods of the nodes become excellent, however the period of

the yogakaraka becomes difficult. So the answer to your querry is that the

nodes shall cause the neechabhanga of the planet concerned and the results of

the neecha planet shall be highly manifested in the period of Rahu and the

sub-period of the neecha planet.

However, as Anna says, we must take other variables such as lordship, aspect,

conjunction, disposition etc. before pronouncing the final results.

The exact motion of the nodes viz., stationary, direct etc. are inconsequential.

Best Wishes

Sarajit

Dear Kalyani,

Hello

Yes anna is abosultely right.

My question is .. Does Association with Rahu makes the Planet causing

neechbhanga reduce his ability to cause neechbhanga.

sample Chart

14 Nov 1972

4.22 am

pune india

Virgo Ascendant

Rahu and Ketu stationary in 4-10 axis.

2 planets debilited..

1. Sun - Sun is with Mars in 2nd house.. Lord of Sun's exaltation

rashi is mars and Mars with with Debilitaed Sun also Kendra(10th from

moon) Hence Mars causes Neechbhanga Rajyoga

2. Venus- Debili in Virgo in lagna.

Exaltaton lord for Venus is Jup is in kendra from Venus as well as

Lagna and in own house. so NBRY but Rahu is also there with Jup

(Planet Causing NBRY) So Will power of Jup causing Neechbhanga will

reduce due to RAhu being with Jup..

Also Since Rahu being stationary direct .. some statinonary direct

planet is very powerful so will it not affect jup much or it will

harm jup more..

I feel as motion of the nodes viz., stationary, direct etc. are

important for considering general analysis of horoscope, they are

also also important when they involved in NBRY/exchange yoga or any

other yogas in astrology .. More study /reasearch is required on

effects of Nodes and thier motions on not only NBRY but also when

Planet are in various yogas and Nodes involved in those yogas.

But I agree with anna. Right now I should stick to principles and

keep them in mind as I am a very beginner level student/Learner.

Regards

Kalyani

I had a look at your chart /didn't have righ Lo and La for Puni, India. couldn't

do the chart in more details. would you please provide the ifo, or better yet,

attach the chart?

What Sarajit wrote about ia absolutelly applicable here-

Rahu will take over the role of Ju.Since the planet cancelling deb. brings rise

in life, usually /MBRY is RY after all!/, it would be Rahu to bring that, due

to its conjunction with Ju, and not Ju /in their periods as Sarajit mentioned/

The answer to your question is that cancellation will not be reduced due to this

fact, just modified. Ju is its moolatrikona sign, thus strong, so Rahu will get

lots of empowerment

to do good, in affairs denoted by deb. planet itself, in particular.

NBRY does exist, as well as an additional cancelation of debility of a weaker

variety, due to the fact that Ve is in lagna/an angle itself/

Period of a planet cancelling the debility will be favourable, while the period

of deb planet will be less so- but not as troublesome bcs Venus is in Lagna.

JU is also Lord of 7th and 4th H- but let it be your second 'research'

I hope this piece of advice will help you in your study, and not discourage you!.

Respected Kalyani,

May I add?.

Rahu dasa ,Sukra bhukthi period was in progress for you between 24-2-1990 and

8-2-1998.If it is true that nodes are more powerful than the lord with whom

they are associated ,and that nodes take the lead to yield even rajayogam, the

above period possibly was a period of yogam for you.

We may safely assume that Rahu has yielded neechabhanga yogam.

On the other hand ,Rahu being in a kendram and also being in a kendram from

Venus who is kona dhipathy should have yielded some good or bad result.I say so

because Venus is debilitated.

Jupiter-Jupiter Venus period was between 17-7-1997 and 22-1-1997.How was the

period?.Should we presume that Jupiter brings about cancellation, the above

period ought to have yielded favourable results.?

Or Jupiter-Venus period ought to yield rajayogam. It is a period yet to come.

Rahu with Jupiter causes Guruchandala yogam.18-4-1998 to 11-8-1998 was a

period of Jupiters dasa Jupiters bhukthi and Rahu antaram. It ought to have

given rise to chandala yogam?.

I think that by practical obsevation it is possible to get over our doubts.

I hope that I have written some meaningful thing.I await your comments pl.

With regards,

jagannathan.

I had a look at your chart /didn't have righ Lo and La for Puni, India. couldn't

Period of a planet cancelling the debility will be favourable, while the period

Thank you for sharing your data-

As much we want to help you in studying, you are also helping us in improving

our understanding- as it ussually goes..

With regards to what Sarajit and myself wrote ab. NBYG and specific situation

when Ju conj. Rahu, your example does prove that there is more to that, and

that its not that straitforward rule, as I've always felt /that Ra swallows

significations of planet it conjoins, and its role-in your case in canceling

NBRY/

Your Ju is in Sag- in angle, strong by itself- Your Ju MD was good- JU obviously

preserved its significations DESPITE conj. with Rahu- /although the second rule,

we wrote about still applies- I hope you are getting the point here! Ju you have

is a blessing, as such, and its beneficience cannot be lost.

AS for Venus periods, sub-periods, I wrote about that in a previous post-

Please don't take seriosly what every astrologer sais- you'll soon be able to

find/see what the right answers is, for yourself.

I will look at your chart and try to get back to you as soon as I get more time.

Wishing you all the best and fast progress in studying,

wrong .. Venus is not getting neechbhanga... Mer being in 3rd house.. is only

good thing as it is dispositor of Venus. But he even said I will not get

married which is not the truth .. as I am married and Have a daughter.Since I

will be having Jup-Venus from oct 2004, I am curious about same.. My Jup-Jup

was very good professinally and at the end of JUp-Jup I got married. I will

study further about Jup being lord of 7th and 4th so How his role will help

me..I will sure study that... for more research.Ketu stationary direct in 10th

is also alone that is also one very interesting thing.. Ketu karaka for

spiritual activites... is in 10th but some say

its debilited .. I am not sure and confused what should I beleive as I was

taught Rahu Ketu are nodes/Shadows so Exlat/ debil does not apply to

them..Though there are different views..Thanks ones again..RegardsKalyani--- In
