Dear Siva,

It looks like you wanted to send this mail to the list. So I am cc'ing my

reply to the list.

Let me leave non-astrological opinions aside and stick to astrology.

* * *

The data I have seen for John Edwards is: 10 June 1953, 7:02 am (TZ: 5:00

west), Seneca, SC (82 w 57' 12", 34 n 41' 08").

It explains some basic things and passes the sanity check. Jupiter is the

10th lord in rasi and occupies 6th in D-10. He can give career as a lawyer.

Being in a dasamsa ruled by the deity Vaayu, he gives activities related to

giving strength to the weak (Vaayu - wind god - shows gaining strength).

Thus, he was a lawyer specializing in getting the injured and disadvantaged

people compensated. His A7 and A7L in D-10 are in Aq with Saturn. So he

dealt with a lot of injured people and disadvantaged people in his career.

Sun in 10th in D-10 gave him a political career. Sun is in a dasamsa ruled

by Agni (god of fire). Agni shows constructing new things and represents

engineers and also law-makers. It was in Sun antardasa that he entered

politics and contested as a senator.

Now let us make the annual TP chart for the current year (2003-04). The data

is: 29 May 2003, 4:16:50 pm (TZ: 5:00 west). Here are the annual TA dasa

calculations:

Tithi Ashtottari Dasa of Janma tithi (useful especially in Tithi Pravesha

charts):

Maha Dasas:

Ven: 2003-04-03 (0:58:38) - 2003-06-11 (2:00:31)

Sun: 2003-06-11 (2:00:31) - 2003-06-30 (22:11:52)

Moon: 2003-06-30 (22:11:52) - 2003-08-18 (12:18:15)

Mars: 2003-08-18 (12:18:15) - 2003-09-13 (14:34:26)

Merc: 2003-09-13 (14:34:26) - 2003-11-08 (10:50:40)

Sat: 2003-11-08 (10:50:40) - 2003-12-11 (21:39:52)

Jup: 2003-12-11 (21:39:52) - 2004-02-12 (6:16:31)

Rah: 2004-02-12 (6:16:31) - 2004-03-22 (1:38:50)

Ven: 2004-03-22 (1:38:50) - 2004-05-30 (18:49:42)

Currently, he is running Jupiter dasa. Is it good? Of course, it is! Jupiter

is exalted in the 10th house. He is in a benefic shashtyamsa called Vishnu

amsa. He is in AL. Jupiter dasa is good for career and gives an excellent

image. Exalted Jupiter in AL in Cancer gives the image of a compassionate

and kind gentleman!

Jupiter-Jupiter antardasa runs during the next 12 days. It is very good for

him. In my judgment, he will do well on Feb 3.

However, this Jupiter dasa ends on Feb 12. Rahu dasa starts then. Rahu is

the 5th lord in rasi chart, but he is in the 8th house, eclipsing the 10th

lord Moon. Even from AL, he is the 8th lord afflicting 1st lord. I expect

that he will continue to do well till Feb 10, but have setbacks during Feb

12-Mar 22. I will not be surprised if his campaign ends then.

However, the best period of the year will come during Venus dasa: March

22-May 17! Venus is the hora lors (i.e. ruler of the year) and he is lagna

lord. He has a raja yoga with 9th lord Mercury, within 2 deg. The two

benefics are in a dynamic sign (Ar) in the 10th from AL. Definitely, this is

a great year. Definitely, Venus dasa will bring the most important event of

the year. Especially, Venus-Mercury antardsasa (April 9-20) can bring an

important event.

With the 9th lord BK taking part in this raja yoga, I suspect that the good

result to come in April will involve some other leader. He will have some

boss (9th/BK). So he may be nominated as the Vice President.

Bottomline: Edwards campaign will face huge setbacks after Feb 12. He will

probably drop out of the race in the second half of February. However, he

will come back into news in Mar 22-May 17 with his most important event of

the year (probably a VP nomination).

* * *

It is most interesting that John Kerry, Howard Dean and John Edwards all

have TA dasa changes during Feb 11-12. All the top three players have change

of dasas. Dean will change from a very bad dasa to a very good one. Kerry

will change from a very good dasa to a not-so-good one. Edwards will change

from a good dasa to bad one.

All this suggests that the fortunes will change after the Tennessee and

Virginia primaries of Feb 10. Probably Al Gore's endorsement of Dean will

help him win big in Tennessee. Probably Dean will do moderately on Feb 3 and

do better in Michigan, Washington and Maine prior to Feb 10 and the win on

Feb 10 will signal a strong comeback. Probably that will change the dynamic.

In any case, things will change after Feb 10.

May Jupiter's light shine on us,

Narasimha
