Guest guest
Reading few last posts here, it looks like folks do lots of reverse engineering or probably astrological readings are like it. You know or guess the event/person etc and you trace it back to the chart.
Guest guest
Hare Rama Krishna Namaste vca_sap, I am also a beginner in this list and please allow me to give my comments on your observational comments. You are perfectly correct on the "Reverse Engineering", this in Astrological terms called the "Past Event Analysis". Here we know some thing had happend on a given Date & time, so there is some amount of Reverse Engineering, but at the same time, we are also applying the Jyotish principles to predict what had happend to the native at a known time. In this situation we have both "Past Event Analysis" and also the Prediction involved, so let me call this as a first category. The second category is: We do not know the past or future evetns, the typical examples are: (a) When a native will get/got a job (b) get/got married etc., Here there is not Reverse Engineering at all, rather a "Forward Engineering" or the Past/Predictive analysis, see what I am trying to tell you here. The Third Category is: We know the Date & Time and Event happend to the native. This information, I will consider as the Past Event(s) and will be used predominently to correct the birth time or to validate the accuracy of the birth details etc., Having said that, I would request Guru's and Learned members to validate my thoughts and correct me if I am wrong, so that you will get more accurate information. Guest guest
What you call reverse engineering is in principal categorised as "case study" or "observation" if you like. This is the only way that any science will be able to build a database of tested references. The form of "puzzle" or "quiz" in astrology is nothing but "testing and validating rules and/or statements". Could you use any science (astrology in particular) for predictions without tested references ? Guest guest
Dear Vca-Sap, Your remark seems quite in order in this particular case. you mentioned "couple of last posts"- I agree that quiz was practically finished after Narasimha's help- giving a clear clue where to to look at.. No, astrology is not like that- Best regards, Anna vca_sap <vca_sap > wrote: Reading few last posts here, it looks like folks do lots of reverse engineering or probably astrological readings are like it. Guest guest
Thank You. Probably, you are right. It seems to have similarities to medical science where you consult a doctor, discuss your ilnness and doctor might tell you that any event in the past might have triggered or caused the illness. However, I have not come across anyone till date who makes a predictive analysis (an event in future about someone not known) correct up to hours or days (forget minutes). I don't intend to communicate that astrologers are not competent or so. What I mean is that probably it is difficult to master Astrology or It is not meant to do it...I might be totally wrong but this is my personal and observational experience.
