Guest guest
Dear Raghunath Rao RAM KRISHN HARE I checked in ayanansh preference but there is no option to find TOPOCENTRIC LONGITUDE in JHora. Normally all softwares use Geocentric longitude for chart. It is as seen from centre of earth. However all classics stress the need to use OBSERVED longitude in charts. If two persons will observe the longitude os same planet at exactly same time, they will get different longitude if they are in two different places but geocentric longitude will remain the same. The small difference in longitude is due to lattitude, longitude and altitude difference between two places. Topocentric longitude gives the position based on earth's surface insted of earth's centre. So we have slightly different longitudes at different places even if time is exactly same. I tried to program it in VB but it is not working.Since in C,there is more control on individual functions,I thought it might be there in JHora. But it is so far not there. In any case we will need to do some more work to see if it gives consistnt results to solve subtraction of a fixed period from vinshottary dasha dates. Thanks for your interest. Anilkumar OM TAT SAT
