Guest guest
Dear Imran RAM KRISHN HARE Thanks for your interest and observation. Please see answers below: --------------- YOU WROTE: Dear Anil, I am one of the user of your fasanating VBA Excel spreadsheet "Even- Dasha-Transit" (EDT). There are some confusions and questions regarding it. Hope you will pay attention. Q 1) The 'varga' sheet gives the details, how many times a planet is exalted/own sign or debiliated i.e. points of shodasavarg, dashvarg, saptvarg and shadvarg. All criterias include "Hora" chart. Whereas three types of Horas are given there. You have added values (0/1) of "all three Horas" for computing "Exl/Own" as =SUM(D324:D341). And only "PD Hora" is for Debiliation =SUM(D348:D363). I dont know what the experts say on this issue. But Narasimharao includes traditionally used Hora (Cancer/Leo) for Shodas-varga on page 54 example 27 in his Vedic Astrology-An Integrated Approach. Now which Hora chart should be included in computing Shodasvarg? Anil: I copied most things from visti's sheet and It is just my laziness to implement all hora charts. You can choose any one as per your choice. Now default is Kashinath-Hora.I have already fixed it in latest version. I personally feel that "ALL" vargas should be cyclical and hence PD- hora can be better.PD-hora also has sanction of some classical books. Q 2) The Shool dasha sheet provides ayur dasa which generally starts either from Lagn or 7th from Lagna. But in many cases EDT gives other sign as starting point, like in my case(14-Nov-1978) Shool dasha starts from Scorpio instead of Leo. While my lagna is Aquarius and Saturn is in Leo. Now it is computing error or some exception? Anil:You will get Scorpio in all cases. You need to give your choice on data sheet as shool dasha can be for any of your relatives. Q 3) On SuDasha page, I want to take your guidence about antardasha computations. According to EDT, if Maha dasha rashi is movable then all 12 antar dashas will consist of movable signs having each movable sign thrice. Similartly if maha dasha is a fixed sign then EDT gives all antar dashas consist of fixed signs and so on for dual maha dasha rashi. Wether it is according to rule or not? Anil:I have corrected it to provide all 12 rashis in sub-dashas. The rules for sub-dashas have changed and I am not very sure.so if you know what is latest view,I will try to implement it.Thanks for your observation. There were a lot of #value kind of errors in several dashas.I have fixed all that could be located by me. Q 4) You have excessively used "Rashi Bhukt Dasha" (RBD) technique along with all udu and rashi dashas. I dont find any literature (so far) that eloborates how to apply it. I think you consider RBD as the most reliable way of interpreting periods. If you find time then please mention some interpretation rules on any example chart. I know you have very refined approach and always tend to pursue new techniques. Anil:It was given by Narasimha in some very early posts on VA-list.He has mentioned only about Maha dasha divisions in 12 Rashis but BPHS clearly advocates its use for all sub dashas.Even prashn marg and Ashtakvarg books elaborate this method. But prediction rules are given in detail by Parashara only. See the chapter on interpretation of Udu- dashas.I have pasted message 508 for your reference below.Parasharji said that those who will give their predictions based on these rules will be able to predict even daily things precisely! So it is indeed best method. It is fast and easy. You must try it!! You can also read my mail on food posted sometime back to get an idea of how vinshottary dasha can be applied to various rashis/arudhas etc. Use Bhavesh(grah) arudha for living/animate things like brothers/children etc. and Rashi Arudha for non-living things. Thanks for your interest and sending me link for the site.I will check it. I wanted to upload another version but there is no space left in files section.Do not hesitate in providing details of mistakes. It helps in improving the program and also in better understanding. Thanks Anilkumar OM TAT SAT ---- --- Narasimha Rao <Narasimha_Rao@p... > Thu Apr 15, 1999 3:27am Re: Transit technique I taught in my class( Re: Yet another puzzle) Dear Shiva, > I bought the car 3 weeks before the accident. I want to illustrate a transit technique I taught in my class on "RasiBhukta Vimsottari dasa" at AVG in Oct 98. Divide each Vimsottari dasa into 12 equal parts. Each part will be ruled by a rasi and we proceed zodiacally, starting from the rasi containing dasa lord in the divisional chart of interest (or the 7th from it, if it is stronger - ignore this point for now). Again each antardasa is divided into 8 equal parts and these pratyantardasas are ruled by Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, Sun, Venus, Mercury, Moon and Ascendant - in that order (decreasing order of distance from earth). The original principle I found in my researches is: Situation of pratyantardasa lord from antardasa sign, in *transit*, suggests the main events in a period (w.r.t. the significations of the divisional chart under study). In your D-16, Mercury is in Libra and Libra with 3 planets is stronger than unoccupied Aries. So antardasas are Li, Sc, Sg and so on. You ran Gemini antardasa when you bought car and had accident. You ran Sun's pratyantardasa during Aug-Sept and that of Venus during Oct-Nov (97). At the time you bought your car, pratyantardasa lord Sun was in Virgo, i.e. 4th from Gemini. At the time you had an accident, Venus was in Scorpio (6th from Gemini!) with Mars. It helped that Sun was in 4th and Venus was in 8th in natal D-16. When their pratyantardasas came and they came into 4th and 6th from antardasa sign, they gave you a car and an accident respectively. Similarly, you ranMercury-Cancer-Mars during early-June to early- August, as per RBV dasa of D-4. See the placement of Mars from Cancer when you came to US. He was in Virgo. So 10th lord Mars aspects 9th (all from Cn)! So he gave a career-related foreign journey. Note that Mars occupies 3rd and aspects 9th in your natal D-4 also! Though it doesn't work always, this principle is pretty powerful. It works in more than 60% cases, provided you have the right birthdata and use 360d years.<<Use 360 degree solar years only----Anil>> * * * This really illustrates the great utility of using divisional charts, doesn't it. I mean, the same fact is being corroborated in all the concerned vargas. Fascinating. The same fact gets corroborated in natal chart, annual chart and monthly chart. Despite the tremendous level of 'redundancy' here, we astrologers frequently miss some events! It's fascinating and inspiring and at the same time challenging and teasing. May Jupiter's light shine on us, Narasimha
