This is an interesting instance about mutually contradictory

positions. Another one is described in BPHS which indicates that

presence of jupiter, mercury or venus alone in a kendra would remove

all evils in a chart.

In the chapter before this one, combinations are given where jupiter

is in the first house and in one case the combination kills the

mother and in another, it kills the father.

Om Shri Gurave Namah

Dear friend,

To be owner and to be posited in a house are two different things. When a benefic planet is owner of Kendra he will not be able to his his benefic results. but when he is posited in Kendra, he will give auspicious results. When a planet is exalted or posited in own sign he gets strenghth and give more auspicious results.

Dear Renuji:

Kendradhipathya dosha arises by mere ownership of kendras by

benefics. It does not take into account the disposition of the

benefic planets in question. It is based on the dictum that malefics

owning the kendra houses bestow good results while benefics get

afflicted by ownership of kendra houses.

Pancha Mahaa Purusha Yogaa's are based on both ownership or

exaltation (the planetary dignity) of the "real planets" and also

their disposition; i.e, the planet concerned should be strongly

placed in a kendra house at the same time being in its own or

exaltation houses. Thus, when Pancha Maha Purusha Yoga operates in a

horoscope, you should deem that the kendradhipathya dosha is not

operational in the horoscope.

One important point to note about Pancha Mahaa Purusha Yogas is that

the planet giving rise to the yoga should be well-placed within the

sign of its ownership/ exaltation also, i.e, it should not be in the

early degrees or near the end of the sign in which case, its avastha

will not be strong (Baala or Vriddha avasthaas which are not

promising for results). Another factor is that the planet should be

free from afflictions arising from conjuction or aspect of malefics.

Only if the planets are free from all blemishes and at the same time

satisfy the criteria for Pancha Mahaa purusha yoga, the actual good

results will be felt. Here, Samudrika Lakshanaas (Physiognomy) will

be handy to see if the yoga is operational or not. All the maha

purusha yogaas have some samudrika lakshanaas ascribed to them. For

a person in whose horoscopes, the yoga is manifest fully, the

samudrika lakshanaas will be quite perceptible. If the appearance of

the person is not in conformity with the samudrika lakshana described

for the yoga, then you should consider that the yoga is not fully

operational in the horoscope. In fact, I have had many persons asking

me why the Pancha Maha Purusha yogas in their horoscopes are not

helping them with exalted status......The reason is that the yoga is

not manifest or is blemished due to evil associations!

In short, a fully manifest pancha mahaa purusha yoga will cancel the

kendradhipathya dosha in a horoscope.

Blessed be.

Pandit. R.DAKSHINAMOORTHI.

Dear respected Sir Dakshinamoorthji,

Thank you very much for your lucid explanation. I do understand the

difference now. Just one query sir. I have read that Jupiter's

exalted position is upto 05 degrees in Cancer. Then isn't it in its

baala avastha? Does that mean though Jupiter is exalted and assuming

unafflicted too, yet Hamsa Maha Purusha yoga is not in full operation?

Thank you once again sir,

Blessings

Shri sckursija ji,

The point that the poster was making was that in the example, venus

was not only kendradhipati but also placed in kendra. Which one would

prevail? The kendradhipatya dosh rule or the malavya yoga mahapurusha

yoga kendra rule? It was a very valid question and no confusion was

involved.

The answer, rather than opinion would involve viewing several charts

with the same lagna rising, but venus in the other kendras. Then

compare that with an individual in whose horoscope (same lagna) venus

is placed in the fifth!

That would mean hard work and long hours! Who does that anymore. It

is a lot easier to just ask on a forum, but does that solve the

confusion, the doubt?

:-)

Namaste,

Kendradhipathya dosha would arise when natural benefic viz.,Jupiter and Venus own other than the Lagna Kendra.Non afflicited Mercury and non afflicted Moon when they own other than than the Lagna Kendra they too bestow dosha but not to the extant of Jupiter and Venus.

Pancha Mahapurusha Yoga formed by non-luminaries, viz., Mars and Saturn in their own sign or in exaltation it should also be a cardinal house.Mercury, Jupiter, Venus bestows the above yoga when they are in their own sign as Lagna Kendra or in their exalted cardinal house. Each of these nonluminaries forms the yoga singly, and each of them has a separate name and effect. Ruchaka yoga is formed by such a placement of Mars Bhadra by mercury, Hamsa by Jupiter, Malavya by Venus, and Sasa Yoga by Saturn. They produce the following results:

Ruchaka Yoga: Strong physique, well versed in ancient love, conforms to tradition and customs, and becomes famous. Such an individual also becomes wealthy, lives for long, and leads a group of men or an army.

Bhadra Yoga: Strong physique with a lion-like face. The individual is helpful to relatives and attains a high intellectual eminence.

Hamsa Yoga: A righteous person, graceful in appearance, considerate, devoted to gods and higher life, and ritualistic in religious observances.

Malavya Yoga: Essentially a family person, preoccupied with domestic responsibilities and surrounded by children and grandchildren. He possesses personal vehicle, residential house, and other necessities of life.

Sasa Yoga: Sensuous, occultist, leader of non-traditional and anti-social elements. Fearless and capable of performing arduous deeds.

Based on the above arguments I am of the opinion that Kendrathipathya dosha and Pancha Mahapurusha yoga are not contradictory to each other.

I request the SJC'S Guru / Shri.Gupta ji to offer their expert opinion.
