It is not just keeping company of good people but of good and sacred books and entertaining good thoughts". Satsang as explained by SAI: "What is Satsang or ‘company of the good’? Does it mean going to bhajans or being in the company of other devotees? Or does it refer to association with persons engaged in social-service activities? No. 'Sat' refers to that which is permanent. Satsang means cultivating the company of the Divine. Where is the Divine? It is within each of us. Satsang means the company of the 'Sat', that is, God. Let all members of group participate in the Satsang and let all express their views in an orderly and logical manner. Participation till end of Satsang is a discipline. 5. Let us not deviate from the topic of discussion. Let us not discuss personal problems or use this forum to discuss even about Parthy News. 6. Dear brothers and sisters, please take the initiative to keep the online Satsang going. Let us obtain the blessings of Swamy before we commence the new session. It will be a good idea to get periodically an eminent guest speaker in our Satsang for our benefit. Let all the members make it a point to actively participate in the online Satsang and make it a success. If any member has any objections to the dos and don`ts proposed by me in my mail dated May 8 and reiterated in the mail of May11 please feel free to express the same in this forum. Why is it intermitant ?? Is the online satsang in need of a forum? I have an online business with an extensive website .. I have forum capabilities which would be a permanent feature for people to talk to one another and post things and I am hoping to have an automated prayer request page which will generate the list each week for peoples convenience and the prayer groups convenience and efficiency .. If I can be of some assistance .. I would be happy to help and offer what I can .. Guest guest Posted May 19, 2006 Report Share Posted May 19, 2006 Sai Ram, The online Satsang which was taking place at 8P.M.(IST) on every alternate Sundays is to be revived immediately as the initiator of the Satsang ( as stated by that person) has found it difficult to cope up with the workload of Sai service activity and Online Satsang. Anybody can take initiative to revive it. It would be ideal to have a Moderator who is well-conversant (with all the Sai Literature ) for the Satsang. Actually it is a conference chat by various memberes at a predetermined time. Technically speaking, it may not be proper to designate it as" Online", but that is not that important. What is more important is that a number of like-minded members, who are all devotees of Sai Baba, meet online in a spirit of Love and peace and share thoughts/experiences/ spiritual knowledge which will be beneficial to all.
