namasivaya,

it is interesting that Chris has such great results from a mono-diet

of milk. perhaps his digestion is different from most others? or

perhaps his shakti is kicking in and taking care of everything?

because the more common knowledge is that cow's milk is one of the

hardest things to digest and creates mucous, congestion and

constipation and possible allergies for many. this is true in my

case, at least.

goat milk is supposed to be not so mucousy and not so congestive.

but, if you feel you need either, try it as a mono-diet and see what

the results are which may be different for you than what the experts

say.

ayurveda's remedy for this is to add ginger and/or make yogart out

of milk for easier digestion; and even Amma recommneds diluting milk

with half water; i have experimented with these and it does not work

well for me at least not at home;

at home i do use soy milk and sometimes nut milk; but even these i

have to limit to avoid congestion, etc; i do better with coconut

milk made from blending the coconut flesh with water; the best for

me however is coconut water.

it's obvious that my digestive system is much weaker or different

than chris's. so we need different approaches. you need to find out

what works for you.

at the ashram i did drink chai made at the indian kitchen right next

to amma's little house; this chai is half milk half water with tea

and some spices( i think ). i would drink this in amma's court yard

which usually was quite empty at 6AM. i considered it as amma's

prasad.

Also the milk in India is totally different than the milk here in the states.  Whole different kind of cow, raised differently and fed differently.  In India, their cows produce very little milk compared to the cows here.

Maybe the DDT helps as well...:-)

All I know is I could drink all the milk I wanted in India and I can't touch the stuff here without getting bloated and knocked out.  This includes raw as well.
