I'm looking to improve and codify the Devanagari typesetting in our books.

Does anyone know of any information on this subject or examples of fine

typography? I've seen only little bits and pieces written about this and the Sanskrit

books I've examined tend to be full of inconsistent decisions.

Today, when I returned from Zograf's conference in St.-Petersburg,

I saw this message and, actually, there are only 3-5 persons who

understand something in devanagari ligatures and crisp PC fonts.

Sanskrit Typography is very low nowadays and not only in India.

Sometimes one has to write nagari letters by hand into a printed

book. But I've collected some materials from good old German books

and books printed in Oxford. Some of these materials are availible

at http://nagari.southindia.ru

Kind Regards,
