Guest guest
|| Om Gurave Namah || Dear Rajesh, There are two different concepts 1. Rising nature of signs. Head Rising Signs: Le,Vi,Li,Sc,Aq,Ge Back Rising Signs: Ar,Ta,Cn,Sg,Cp Both Rising Sign: Pi 2. Rising nature of planets. Benefics are head rising. Malefics back rising. Jupiter is dual rising. This I think is defined in B.V Raman's Book(Astrology for Beginners?. Also a commentary in Hora Sara (Trans & Commented by R. Santhanam)is given as, 'Notes: The risings of Rāśis have already been explained in th= e opening Ch.. Now, I give below the details of Grahodaya, or risings of Grahas: 1) Sūrya, Rahu, Mangal and Śani rise with hind part an= d hence called Prishtodaya Grahas. 2) Candr, Śukr and Budh rise with their heads and hence called Shirshodaya Grahas. 3) Guru rises in both ways and hence Ubhayodaya Grah.' For Narayana Dasa Analysis both these facts needs to be taken. In Pg 77 footnote where you are refering the definition is based on Lordship. You will see tha Pt Sanjay Rath has used this even in Rajiv Gandhi's Case of analysis of Cancer dasa. The default definition is as per Sign as given in 1. Yes, The Foot note is not very clear about the lord ship based reckoning. -Warm Regards S. Prabhakaran Om Tat Sat vedic astrology, "Rajesh M.
