Istha Devatha

I remember seeing another classification of the Istha Devatha, based

on the Avatars of Vishnu. This is different from the scheme that

allocates Rama to the Sun, Krishna to the Moon, Skanda to Mars etc.,

but was based instead on the various forms of Vishnu. I searched the

archives but did not find it. Can anyone please repost?

 

Also, is there an equivalent one for any other forms of God, other

than Vishnu? I.e., are the different Devi forms for the different

Karakamshas, or different forms of Shiva?
