I've had the same impression as you state here- but another answer that I am looking for is, what happens to a RY plannet when 'robbed' by Rahu? It loses it benefic nature, ability to protect its significance, house- is that also part of your scepticism? If Rahu takes over, it start behaving as YK at the expense of initial YK /kendra/trinal lord/? Is that what you meant/and I assume/?
