Dear Anna, Sunil

The AK is the significator of the soul and as a result he will teach us lessons

that in some cases will help understand that we are not this body. But in many

cases its just a period of pain. The above two manifestations of the AK depend

on its placement in D-9 and relationship with D-9 Lagna. For a realized soul

such as Srila Prabhupada, he achieved everything during the dasa of the AK but

in the case of many others it just signifies a lot of problems.SO the summation

is that if we are inclined toward spiritual life, the dasa of the AK will be a

great boon in the spiritual direction. I have experienced that personally.Of

course the spritual directon or Atma gati comes only after tribulations, so

even my AK antaradasa was a peiod of tests which finally led me to my Ista and

purpose of life. But in the case of many others, the AK tries but because the

chart does not indicate an inclination toward spiritual life, the natives end

up just suffering which results in

purification.

If you use the stone of the AK make sure he is also your Vara (Vedic weekday of

birth) lord otherwise, it will adversely impact your health. In my case I wear

the Gem for AK but he is my weekday lord and also a great yogakaraka, so there

were no problems related to the stone, so there are exceptions.

Regarding the placement of AK in different padas, we have to remember that the

AK signifies the soul, so if its placed in the 2nd pada for instance, it

indicates Artha or wealth that could be used to serve the Ishta. Different

people have vairiegated plans in their mind based on their situation in life

and propensities to serve the Supreme Lord.My understanding is that the

different padas of the placement of AK indicates how a native could possibly be

serving the Supreme. Afterall we all may not be able to play identical roles in

our service. These are purely my thoughts and are subject to further research.
