Dear James & All:

I would like to add a couple of points for all those who have a natural skepticism

as to any field of endeavor whether Jyotish or palm reading.

We live in this delightful scientific age which I believe was created by God ....

to give all of us... more objective criteria to be able to understand reality

and separate what is true from imagination.

In terms of Jyotish, when I first started studying it many years ago I went through

all the books I could over a 2 or 3 year period.

And after that, I felt fairly knowledgeable about the ideas but still something was missing.

It was about this time that I started studying the Transits...

What the Sun, Stars and Planets are doing in the sky, right now, in Reality....

And after only a few weeks and months.... literally,

Astrology became alive, to me.

And I realized that Life lives Astrology....

We in fact, live in an Astrological Universe

and always will....

So....studying the principles of Astrology.... in the day to day....goings on in real life

is a fantastic way at discovering what is real in Astrology or Jyotish.

The other thing that happened to me that filled me with more certainty regarding Astrology,

was when I started doing other people's charts....

After another few years I just realized that everyone that I looked at in terms of their charts;

they literally.....fit them....

whether I looked at their Moons or Suns...or Mercurys.... they literally were

living ... the realities

of their charts....!

And that is a really great verification of Astrology..... and confirms why and how we can

say that Astrology is really a science!

Let's take the example of the Moon's .....

It's supposed to stand for people's emotional nature, emotional strengths and sensitivities....

It would be very easy to take 1000 people and asking them a few questions,

scientifically, to determine their emotional stability.... then look and see

how their 'emotional' nature, coincides

with the Moons in their charts....

Most people find that the size of the Moon, especially at the time of birth is very indicative

of a weaker, more sensitive, especially....growing emotional nature....

And that's good news if you were born with a 'tender' Moon, in your chart....

then you can be directed to strengthen that Moon,

paying more attention to your feelings, even nourishing and transforming them....

to try and make them more full,

like the Waxing or Full Moon!

nice to know abt u ! if u already have some knowledge , it will b easier for u

to understand the connecton of astrology, spirituality & mythology. do read

first two chapters of brihat parasara hora sastra.
