In his book, the Holy Science, he gives the mean motion of the precession and Yugas, not the actual motion. I have been told that he used an ayanamsa close to Chitrapaksha. Later, a prominent discilpe of Paramahamsa Yogananda (Sri Yuktesvar's disciple) tried to determine the correct ayanamsa from hints given in the Holy Science, which they would of never attempted had what was in Holy Science meant to be an astrologically correct ayanamsa.
